On tap at the brewery in Santa Rosa, CA. Pours a dark brown with a good sized head. Nice creamy mouth feel with chocolate and coffee being the main flavors. I knew it was going to be good, but it exceeded expectations.

Tap @RR. Pours deep black with a medium brown head and nice lacing. Aroma is quite light, roasty, cigarettes, coffee, ashtray. Flavor is light sweet and medium bitter, much the same as nose, not really doing much for me. Bottle shared by Jeff. Aroma is nice and roasty with a dusty cocoa. Pours black/brown with a small wispy film. Taste is super chalky cocoa, roast coffee, and malt. From a growler filled the day before and kept refrigerated.
Poured a half finger of head on a black body. The head was quickly gone but left some nice lacing.
The aroma is burnt and roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Very nice.
The taste follows the aroma: roasted malt, burnt wood, black coffee and dark chocolate. Really good.
The texture is a little creamy, but too fizzy.
While the fizziness pushed the rating down, it is still an enjoyable drink.

A- 10 oz pour at RR. filtered black with deep mahogany edges, and a light tan head. Great lacing
S- coffee and toasted malt notes up front, with wood, earth, musty leather, alfalfa and then some hops. Faint chocolate mingles
M- dry, smooth and clean with only mild stickiness and good carbonation. Medium to full bodied with medium palate.
T- coffee and earth first, followed by smokey malts, alcohol and bakers chocolate and cocoa. faintly metallic minerals with notes of cola and mineral water on the relatively long, bitter end. Concealer (1250) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 19, 2013
Tap. Dark brown, near black with a creamy tan head. Smells of toaste malt, espresso, chocolate and a light warmth. Flavor is toasted malt, espresso, sweet malt, dark fruit, light bitter and a dry boozey finish.
