Pours a brassy red with an open bubbled white head. The aroma is a sharp sour fruit. Cherry and other dark fruits with a brett based musty character. Great sourness and funky on the nose. The flavor is a mellowed tart fruit full of sour cherries and funky flavors. Sharp combination of vinegar, red wine, grapes, vinous, and saltiness. Even a funky fermented fruit with only a tiny hint of alcohol coming through. Mouth watteringly sour on the finish.
Sweetness of the cherry comes out in the nose. Long bitter after-taste. Brown and fresh. The malty nature of the brown ale does a great job rounding out the sour. Wow.

Reddish brown pour with thick foam and lots of bubbles. Complex, earthy nose with fruits, including apple and cherry along with some faint caramel malt. Taste is even more complex, with the fruit sweetness and some tartness from the wine barrels, linked by the sour cherries. The yeast gives it a musty, earthiness and perhaps helps lighten the body. Little carbonation, medium body and a slightly dry finish.

Pours copper, clear with a little haze. Sour, malty aroma features scents of apple cider and purple grape. Really pleasant smell. Tart, sour taste. Lemon juice. Bitter. Metallic. Fresh, kettle-style sour mixed with a substantial, barrel-aged quality. Perfectly executed. Frothy in the palate. Really good.

Plenty of barrel character that clashes with brett yeast. A bit of mess. Fruity cherry on side.
Top: smaller fizzy of white top.
Base: dark amber.
Palate medium bodied, low carbonation, very long finish3/5
Taste complex, clash of barrel, sour cherry and yeast. Mild alcohol notes. I fail to see the greatness of this beer. Creative mess ?
Beautiful complex stone fruit-mostly cherries-on the nose, true sourness on the palate. I'd like a touch more sweetness-and maybe alcohol to balance the sourness, but hard to complain.

Bottle from Russian River, Santa Rosa. Aroma is huge Bretty barnyard funk, fruits, oak, wine, pinot barrels, tart cherries, malt, apricot, tart red fruits. Flavour is tart and medium sour. Body is medium. Amazing balance and drinkability. Superb American Sour, world class status well-deserved. Incredible, I wish I had bought more bottles! That rotten smell which makes sours good tasting. Cherry flavor is evident. High carbonation dark amber color. Very nice
