Reddish copper pour with a nice dense off-white head that receded into an 1/8 inch foam but left its mark with thick bands of lacing. Nose is sour cherry skins, pear, funk, and yeast. Flavor is quite interesting...beginning sweet but rapidly transitioning to aggressive tart. Cherry, oak, raisin, lemonade, and grapefruit. Much lower carbonation that Temptation. Actually enjoyed this beer a bit more.
Wyraziście wiśniowe, cierpkie i wytrawne, sporo pestek wiśni, drewniany, beczkowy posmak.
I think it is more of a wild ale than Flanders but it is really tasty. Not at all vinegarish nice red fruit base. Beautiful wine barrel notes. Delicious. markextrae (4460) - Alingsås, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - SEP 30, 2017
Hazy orange like colour. Tart vinegar notes, earthy oak notes, grape notes, cherries aren't jumping out of it. Spiced yeast notes. Taste is dry tart. Iznogud (4068) - CROATIA - SEP 26, 2017
Bottle, 375 ml from City Beer, SF. Shared with Banjo, Max, JFK10000. Hazy orange, off white head. Vinous, fruit, grapes, lots of wood, complex, ripe fruit. Medium bodied. Strong acidity. monkeychugg55 (1105) - Joliet, Illinois, USA - SEP 19, 2017
Clear amber with a fizzy white head. Lots of brett in the aroma. Barnyard, sour cherries, brett smokiness, overripe pear, and some light wine barrel notes. The flavor is pretty sour, with a nice woody wine character and sour cherries.

375ml bottled 02/2017, merci BA-beersnake shared at Freiburg August Deluge Tasting 2017. - What a revelation to have this on standby after De Garde’s young&green Pinot Noire US-lambic style: a by now much anthologised US Oud Bruin, pinot noire barreled. Label mentions a min. barreling age of 9-15 months. - - - Lovely thick oaky vanilla nose, adding spicy umami to a mild version of more familiar Vlaams Oud Bruin lacto tartness, including mushroom. Taste is smooth (!) like silky Spätburgunder molecularly infused with a subtle dose of earthy umami champignons. Fruity Tartness of both sweet and sour cherries with lacto edges builds around the umami grapeflesh, remaining well-behaved, gastronomic and not a pornographic end in itself, like in so many other US sours. Slight residual sweetness andstickiness, like the residual sugars of sweet cherry in buttermilk, going on supreme strawberries-and-cream deliciousness. - In parts this is a luxury version of a very good Oud Bruin and one of few US sours my Belgian-socialised palate/enamel agrees with. Sweetness of the cherry comes out in the nose. Long bitter after-taste. Brown and fresh. The malty nature of the brown ale does a great job rounding out the sour. Wow.

Reddish purple pour, smaller head, no lacing. Aroma of fruit, red wine, lactic sourness, jam. Jammy up front, sour cherries, sour, tart, red wine, light sweetness as well. Medium body, lower carbonation. PanMarek (462) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 25, 2017
Reddish brown pour with thick foam and lots of bubbles. Complex, earthy nose with fruits, including apple and cherry along with some faint caramel malt. Taste is even more complex, with the fruit sweetness and some tartness from the wine barrels, linked by the sour cherries. The yeast gives it a musty, earthiness and perhaps helps lighten the body. Little carbonation, medium body and a slightly dry finish.
