Overall, a forgetful Red Ale...and mine was pretty flat. DrSilverworm (10000) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 14, 2013
12oz bottle, from And Beer in Athens, OH. Labeled 5.5% ABV. Hazy dark red / brownish color. Good thin khaki head, with good retention. Leaves great rows of lace. Medium body. Good smooth, kind of crisp lighter carbonation. Easy drinking, kind of refreshing. Good spicy hop nose, light caramel malt, light citrus hop, kind of toasty. Mild bitter taste, light sweet. Impressive, flavorful, not-too-sweet, satisfyingly hoppy Irish red. Much better than expected. JStax (7318) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - MAY 21, 2013
12 ounce bottle. Pours a darker amber with a big beige head of foam. Aroma is earthy and a little smoky. Taste is hop forward at first but dries out into a subtle sweet beer. Nicer mouthfeel. MarkSachon (1062) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 6, 2013
12 oz bottle from a sampler case purchased in Pittsburgh. Somewhat nutty but lacking the qualities found in other reds. Just pretty average where I expected a lot more from the makers of the Coke Oven Stout.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a small off white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is oak vanilla and caramel. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet caramel malt and a bit watery. A decent Irish ale from Rust Belt. osu97gp (678) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 31, 2012
Pours a brown-red with a minimal tan head. Aroma of caramel and nuts. Flavor of candy and caramel and toasted malts. keepersj12 (3142) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - JUL 31, 2012
Not a bad red. Pours amber with a red tint. The aroma is very Malthus with some caramel and some wood. The flavor has the caramel and a bit of wood with a decent hop balance. Just a bit thin at the end. Capa (3631) - DC, Washington DC, USA - JUL 30, 2012
Deep brick read with minimal head. Candied caramel malts, dark fruits, and a bit of toasted malt in the aroma. Medium, syrupy body. Flavor has plenty of sweet malts, dark fruits, crackers, light nutty. Has the makings of something decent but does not follow through. Art (3220) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 5, 2012
Medium red brown color. Thin head. Nutty vanilla taste with little hop flavor.
