4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: DEC 28, 2012 Taster at Holiday Ale Fest. Is almost identical to a spiked hot chocolate, with a hint of cherry. Really delicious. Also had on draught at Roadhouse 101. Even better the second time.
On tap at the Lincoln City BP Very dark brown with nonheqd or lacing. Chocolate malts and some dark cherry coming through. Thin and fairly dry not very Baltic more of a dark brown ale. Clean dry finish. bpreo (2840) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - DEC 17, 2016
Cherry and chocolate blend perfectly. Sampled at the new(ish) Hayden Bridge Tap House. 8, 5, 8, 4, 16. CVBis007 (55) - Oregon, USA - JAN 6, 2015
Wonderfully dark pour with a medium, though persistent, head trailing down the glass. Smells of chocolate malt with sweet cherry. Not surprisingly the chocolate flavor persists and you get the cherries on top. Nice and solid. stchloe (1067) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 18, 2014
Incredible cherry base, very good notes without being saccharine, the chocolate notes are a little muted and dry, hops are quite nice in balance in the finish. mcberko (17854) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 21, 2013
On tap at Rusty Truck Brewing, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out rich cherries and chocolate - like a decadent dessert. Flavour is similar, bringing out a decadent mix of cherries and chocolate - very fruity and chocolatey. Sweet, but not even close to cloying. Really great stuff I must say.

With the aroma of sweet chocolate and cherries, this beer couldn’t be any better. It’s thick, frothy head and red - chocolaty dark color easily makes it my favorite. Chocolate is the dominate flavor but cherries are defiantly present. I paired it with brownies and served it at 55 degrees. WOW!!!
