UPDATED: NOV 14, 2015 Fender Bender has created a very good Fruit Beer with blackberries. Very tasty, almost like drinking butter. Re-rating: Ignore what I said about Fender Bender. Maybe I was confused? Maybe they changed their name? Either way... Sampled at the 4th annual McKenzie Cider and Craft Beer Festival, November 13th, 2015.

On tap at 3 Mugs. Pours a purple brown color with a medium white head. A fruity berry and sweet malty nose. The flavor is dominated by an odd earthy and almost sour flavor, sweet berries, some toast. OK.

Draft at the brewery. Cloudy, dull purplish brown. Acetone / nail polish remover and salon perm solution chemicals in the nose and mouth with the malt and berries coming through as a tart, dry wood, seed and stem flavor, sour and tart and moldy. Watery, filmy, dry, low bitterness, low to medium acid. A toss-away beer

This beer is pretty much as you would imagine. I feel comfortable using the descriptors, dainty and nutty.

Imperial Pint at "Ventis" taproom Salem Nice looking ale dark gold, large of white head OK aromas from what i could tell. Nice balanced wheat ale with blackberry taking up the back ground leading to a well drinkable summer quaffer. Palate good thin as expected but needed. Nice summer beer reminds me of Henry Weinhards Blackberry Wheat and that’s a good thing.
