Pours dark brown with an off-white head.
Nose shows banana, soft roast and little else.
Flavours include some roasted malt along with soft banana and doughy wheat notes.
Carbonation is pretty much spot on, moderately high.

Tap at the brewery. For such an evocative name, it really doesn’t taste much of either caramel or banana. It’s quite dark, almost black, with the malt flavours much more in the toasty-burnt spectrum than caramel (which is funny considering how caramelly the other beers are). Glue and sweaty phenolics in the aroma, with a decidely hollow and hard palate where the soft wheat malt should be. Another beer with fermentation issues.
