2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Tap at the brewery. Slight caramelly fresh malt character, some gluey esters, faint herbal and orangey hop character. All of this is overridden by a pervasive plasticy phenolic character which carries right through from the aroma into the bitterness, lingering on the palate for a very long time. Would be a fairly plain but passable pale ale without the phenolics.
[backlog] 08-02-15 // 170ml glass on tasting paddle at the brewery. Cloudy orange. Malty body, light fruity hops. Some caramel, some nut. Tezminator (271) - AUSTRALIA - OCT 2, 2016
It’s a pale ale. Nice malty finish and moderate fruitiness. A good beer, but nothing too interesting. May have got lower rating than should as it was part of a tasting paddle and the other beers were very nice. vinhol (344) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 21, 2014
330 mil bottle slightly hoppy aroma deep cloudy amber with white head taste is more malty than hoppy

Pours hazy amber with a small head.
A fair bit of hops on the nose, with grapefruit and pine notes. Also some sweet malt underneath and some nutty characters.
Flavours follow along the same lines in terms of hops, very spicy and piny.
Also some sweet clean malt.
Needs more carbonation. davidm (2080) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 21, 2012
On tap at the brewery. Very nice malt-driven ale. Aroma is nutty, with floral and caramel notes. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness, and average length. Palate is velvety, with a thin-to-medium body. Amber, with a luscious head.
