UPDATED: NOV 7, 2004 Dark brown colour. Aroma is mildly malty, but quite restrained. Noticeably hoppy flavour. Clean and crisp. Pretty good. Bottled at GBBF 2004. (6/4/7/3/13). RE-RATE. Bottled at Bedford Beer Festival. I don’t know whethere this was from a different batch, but I certainly noticed more licorice & treacle, some nutty notes and a more filling mouthfeel than previously. Bumped it up a couple of notches.

Dark brown/chestnut colour. Caramelly nose, with obvious notes of butter. Soft mouthfeel with notes of roasty malt sourness, and some diacetyl. Not much bitterness. A late touch of thin coffee.
