Dr.Hardwicke’s Double IPA 8.5%. Brewed with huge amounts of 3 varieties of American Hops, added continuously over a 85 minute boil and then dry hopped in the fermenter and cask. What better way to enjoy soring that with a pint of 8.5% Double IPA :)

Cask at Windsor Castle, Lye. Golden, with cream top. Smells real good. It’s a sweet beast to be sure, but the warming, thick, genuinely rich hop flavour comes through and asserts itself. Booming. Some plastic dryness meshed in the finish, but this is excellent.

Pure white creamy head stayed well on a hazy, light orange coloured body - Looks appetising! Hoppy aroma with tropical fruits & peach. Medium to full mouthfeel, very smooth on the palate with minimal carbonation. So smooth.... light fruity flavours of peach, apple, tropical fruits, berries, quite sweet & slight hints of malt. Tastes like a Barley Wine.

Butelka 330 ml. Jasnozlote. Piana biala srednia szybko redukuje sie w sniferze. Aromat sosnowych szyszek ananasow trawy. Dobrze zbalansowane o dobrze ukrytym alkoholu. W smaku lekko ziemiste z wyrazna goryczka. Dobre

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2016 Live tasting of a 330ml bottle from B&M on the Team Valley. served fridge cool Hazy gold, thin white skim. Honey and well loved training shoe aroma. Resinous, big golden juice flavours. There’s a childhood familiarity that I think might be something we called Spanish Gold which was a faux tobacco confectionary. Assertive bitterness, slightly oily palate. Very nice.

Bottle from B&M Bargains, Halifax. Golden with a thin head. Very strong tasting with the tropical fruitiness remaining very stated. There’s a lot of fruit to be found in its nose as well.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Very pale golden coloured with an earthy citrus and peppery hop flavour, malty notes followed by pineapple and spicy fruit on the finish.

Noe tåkete lys brun med hvitt skum. Lukter karamell, malt alkohol. Lite humlepreg over denne. Tam i smak. noe bitter avslutning.

Gylden brun klar med lavt hvitt skum. Lukter stenfrukter og karamell. Smaker søtt av karamell med fin bitter avslutning.

Bottle from Ship in a Bottle, West Kirby. Golden looks with a meek white head. Aroma a tad lacking with some muted hop and caramel. Sweet boozy flavour with some tropical fruit notes. Ok but not quite the phat hop hit I was hoping for.

Bottled 16/09/14. A golden coloured beer with a whitish ring of head. Pretty good. Very boozy, fruity and hoppy. Sharp bitterness. Not in your face big like most IIPAs. Almost more like a golden barley wine. Malts merge well. A long finish. I like it. Strong and tasty although the aroma is thin.

Pours a clear, orangey golden color, topped with a decent just slightly off-white head. A very pleasant malty aroma, mild citruses easily picked up. The taste is bittery, develops a more sweet taste later. Some fruity and biscuity notes towards the end and a bit metallic in the aftertaste. Apart from that, very nice.
