Absolutely cracking beer. Really pleasant aroma, wonderful dark appearance in the glass with just the right amount of carbonation. Best of all a fantastic taste and finish. The brewers cracked it with this one.

Black colored, small tan non lasting head. Aroma is of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, bit oats, cocoa. Taste is medium sweet malt, chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, bit oaty, medium bitterness, dryish finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, creamy. Decent stuff.

Bottle from B&M. Dark brown, noticeably translucent if you hit the light just right. Coffee and bitter chocolate in the aroma but it smells a bit artificial. Tastes a bit artificial as well, with a metallic note among the sweetness. However the sweetness is indeed lush, liquorice-laden and moreish. Even better is the complex, earthy bittersweet finish with ample carbonation. A mixed bag but worth trying.

Barwa czarna jak dusza Antoniego.Piana niska drobnopechezykowa bardzo szybko znikajaca. W aromacie razowy chleb albo raczej bardzo wyrazny slud oral czekolada. Bardzo ciekawy smak w tle goryczka I przebijajacy slud. Bardzo fajne piwko .

500ml bottle : In a La Chouffe Tulip . The commercial on the bottle depicts this more like a wanky coffee .."vanilla pods , raw cocoa". What ever , its a stout in the Foreign style and I like them as they typically come from non beer places like Sri Lanka .. Dark abyss liquid ...a beige head sits like a moody cloud in Autumn . Roast malt nose giving birth to suggested wanky coffee , dark chocolate , burnt sugars , ink , vanilla , fudge , burnt rich interplay . A wave of rich roast coats the palate ... roast coffee , chewy smoky nuance rise and dance on my tongue ..burnt dark chocolate .subtle vanilla gimick . Good shit !

Aroma of muddy dog hair and barley. Has a nice big head and dark brown body. Flavour is good spicy chocolate with coffee hints. Kind of weak on the mouth. Itís an okay stout with some interesting elements.

500ml bottle at home, from Cornelius, Easter Road, Edinburgh (bb 31 Oct 2016), chocolate, cocoa aroma, near black with a short-lived thin head, initial vanilla sweetness, chocolate, coffee, earthy, then berry fruits as it warms, soft carbonation.

Tulip glass at home, 27/06/16. Bought at M&S, Brooklands. Dark as youíd expect but not much head despite my attempt to produce one. I can certainly pick up the cocoa and vanilla aroma (but that could be because I just read the bottle!). A sweet smelling stout. Initial thoughts are that the taste matches the aroma. However after a couple of mouthfulls Iím finding it a bit too sweet, especially with the residue on my tongue. Nice enough but not one Iíd drink multiple pints of.

500ml bottle. A fantastic chocolaty stout. Recommended. But it is actually better on tap than bottle. I tried it at Sadlers Windsor Castle pub, and it was sublime.
