Cask-conditioned at the Victoria, Clifton Lido, Bristol 1/11/2012. Deep amber with a slight, off-white head. Sweetish, caramel and beery fruit aroma with a hint of spice. Flavour was sweet and malty with a gently bitter finish. Ok.
Gravity at Birmingham Beer Festival 2012. Pretty bland amber bitter. Not much flavour really. Smooth, balanced. Do pumpkins really taste of this? So dispirited was I with the beer choice on the upper floor, that I retreated to the local brewery section by this point. Where is Bish? Where is Gurd? jmgreenuk (10322) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - OCT 27, 2012
Cask at the Birmingham Beer Festival 2012. Clear reddish brown pour with a thin broken white head. There was very little in the aroma and the flavour wasn't complex either! There was some bitterness but I hardly got the pumpkin or anything else really. It's only brewed once a year for Halloween and I can live with that! Fine to drink occasionally, but not a classic. leaparsons (10859) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 26, 2012
Cask, The Pub, Leicester. Golden brown with an off white head. Aromas are caramel and brown sugar with lots of carrot and pumpkin. Toast with light lemon marmalade. Flavours are sweet carrot juice with brown sugar and other root vegetables. Caramel with biscuit and soft spices to finish. A true pumpkin brew but not really my type of beer. tommann (4022) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 3, 2012
