330ml botte from Dan Murphy’s. pours a very clear pale amber colour with a very white head that levels out. Grassy straw malt aroma with a very "beery" flavour. gam (4139) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JAN 4, 2013
Block head medium carbonation clear gold pour aromas grain hay corn like citrus yeast flavours are salty bitter sourness grainy tends to watery flat tasting the finish dull kolsch sour watery flat finish a flop Davros (3338) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - DEC 11, 2012
Pours amber with a quickly fading head.
Faint aroma, some vegetal notes, soft malt, cardboard and grainy notes.
Nice sweet malt as a flavour, but it doesn’t last long and the extremely low bitterness makes for a very weak finish.
Needs more carbonation. Feels watery. ALLOVATE (3087) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - OCT 27, 2012
Pastel yellow in colour with reasonable clarity. Head is a wafer of white that holds on until the last. Lemon rind, persimmon flesh, apple vinegar, dusty grains and a very feint herbal hop note makes up the subtle aroma. Foamy, mildly soapy in mouthfeel with a slickness to the finish. Plastic comes to mind when tasting it, a little manky and oxidised are the hops with a hint of boiled greens late. Light malt and fruit esters to save it giving it a gentle sweetness. Not the best to be brutally honest! (33cL, BB 12/04/13, BWS Quinns Rocks) Muggus69 (2807) - Yarram, Vic, AUSTRALIA - JAN 23, 2014
Pale gold body, slight haze, white head drops away.
Mild aroma; grainy malts with a touch of floral hop.
Medium body & carbonation, dry overall impression.
Grainy malts continue on the body, light cracker biscuit flavour with a light sweetness. Floral herbaceous hops linger briefly on a subtle bitter finish.
A example of the style, somewhat underwhelming but quite clean and drinkable.

Bottle- Pours a clear pale golden color with a small head that fades to nomial lacing.. Aroma is fairly mild with some citrus, some grain and a bit of malt sweetness. Taste is fairly bland with a bit of citrus and a bit of malt sweetness. Mild bitterness and a fairly clean finish. Light body, smooth, quite bland and a bit sticky. Drinkable, but a pretty basic Kolsch. probably best on a hot summer day. Stew41 (2118) - Phuket, THAILAND - FEB 3, 2013
Another disappointing beer from S&A. Lacks the necessary chalk and minerals that are so integral to a good kolsch. Really this just looks like a pale lager. Woolies have to try harder! StevieT (2039) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 6, 2014
From a bottle. Pours a crystsl clear pale yellow, generic "beer" aroma, lasting head, it’s a bit bland. I’m not that excited. KeefOz (1952) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - JAN 18, 2013
Poured a clear pale golden colour with a two-finger white foamy head that diminished quickly. No lacing. Moderate carbonation. Aroma not strong and of malt and trace of grain. Taste initially sweet malt followed by very mild bitterness. Light body (tending towards watery). Maris (1612) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - AUG 22, 2013
From a 345ml bottle on 22/8/2013. Pours a clear light golden with a tiny head. Has a quite unpleasant aroma featuring urine and stale bready malt. The flavour is similarly uninspiring featuring more stale bread and grain. The body and carbonation are medium. I think some of the other beers in this series have been harshly treated on here. Not this one though - it’s horrible.
