Marsalkka IV on kullankeltainen ja tasapainoinen, ryhdikkäästi humaloitu lager-olut. Kantavierre 13%, alkoholipitoisuus 5,2 t-%, humalakatkero 28 EBU. Tämä olut olisi epäilemättä maistunut ylipäällikölle ja hänen esikunnalleen sodan ja sotatoimien johtamisen ja suunnittelun lomassa niin Mikkelin Päämajassa kuin hotelli Kalevassakin…

gyllenbock (9328) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 21, 2009
Bottle. Color of bright copper, the foam was not glarge. Bread, malt, fruit and some spice in aroma. Bread tones and maybe a bit of hay. Pretty sweet, bitterness was low. Body rather weak, the aftertaste is not too long. There was some nuts in the finish.

Hermod (8139) - Vantaa, FINLAND - OCT 20, 2009
33cl bottle. Clear color, thin head. malty bread aroma, too alcoholic flavour, bread and little sweet.

odgaard (382) - Skyum, Thisted, DENMARK - OCT 15, 2009
Clear golden color with a disappearing white head. Aroma: malt, brown bread, some fruit. Taste: Bread, malt and hops and an underlying fruity banana taste. Ok, but nothing special.

markas101 (2482) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - APR 12, 2009
Tasted 6/1/07 Helsinki, Finland. 33 cl bottle,. Light amber colour, thin head. Warm hop aroma with faint malt. Medium body, slight spicy aftertaste.

austone (1062) - Turku; Pori, FINLAND - MAR 1, 2009
Bottled. Golden to copper, small pale head. Bready malty aroma with some hay, mild but pleasant. Bready flavor, some alcohol and ESL-style fruitiness, moderate hayish hops. Medium bodied, lush, even a bit chewy palate. The alcohol is a bit disturbing, otherwise pretty solid lager.

Bov (13004) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - NOV 20, 2008
courtesy of oh6gdx - bronze colour with a little persistent foam; oily aromatic hoppiness; quite sweet with a good malt body, a moderate bitterness, logn aftertaste of peanuts and flowers - crisp and fresh; not bad at all

mrdasilva (120) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 10, 2008
Big disappointment. Very harsh, alcoholic and rough. German-style hoppiness. Not very easy to drink. I don’t know what this is supposed to be, but f-a-i-l.

Slight shady golden color, small white head. Sweet malty scent. Grainy, sweet, malty and bitter taste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, low medium bitterness.

Draught at Bruuveri, Helsinki, on July 21, 2011
Clear golden color, white head. Fruity but also sort of acidic to sour scent. Malty, sweet, metallic, butter taste. A hint of sour. Medium low bitterness, low to medium low bitterness.

tlind2 (1755) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 28, 2008
330 ml bottle. Golde color, low white head. Malty aroma with a touch of hops. Malty flavor, good balance. Medium carbonation, a surprisingly heavy body for a lager. A very nice example of a generally uninteresting style.

liinis (1774) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 7, 2008
UPDATED: JUL 8, 2009 Amber, small head. Strong bodied malty and a bit sweet. fruityness in aroma and flavor. a worthy everyday beer for a marsalkka.
