Draught (shared by Lövis). Reddish ambery brown colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is caramel, mild toast, toffee and some mild leathery and metallic notes. Flavour is similar with bigtime wooden notes too. As it warms up the metallic notes get more evident.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2014 Tap @ Bruuveri, Helsinki. Pours a slightly hazy reddish amber with a small, off-white head. Aroma is fruity, mixture of apple and grape juice, some raisin and plum there as well. Taste is also fruity, though the fruits are a bit darker: prune and date. A lot of caramel in the middle with some grass in the background. Aftertaste is surprisingly herbal and grassy with fruity caramel in the background. Palate is full and rich, coating the mouth. Not much in the way of carbonation. A nice surprise.

Clear amber, chestnut color, small off-white head. Bready, ryeish aroma with hints of caramel. Medium-bodied. Flavor has raisins and is bready. Quite thin, watery palate for this ABV. Finish has some hoppy bitterness and then hints of caramel. Kind of homebrewish and not balanced as good English strong bitter should be.

(Draught at Bruuveri, 20111101) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had caramell, malts and carboard. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, caramell and low bitterness. Aftertaste was short, malty and lightly bitter. Watery, weak and tastes old even though it is a brand new brew.

Draught at Bruuveri, Helsinki, Finland.
Bubbly clear amber colour with small off-white head. Dry malty aroma with mild sweet caramel and metal. Dryish malt, metal and mild unpleasant bitterness in flavour. Rather lagery. Not my idea of good Ale.
