This traditional IPA has fresh aromas of white flowers and citrus with a clean bitter hop flavour. This classic India Pale Ale is made in Burton upon Trent, the home of British brewing. The recipe uses Fuggles, Goldings and Cascade hops and yeast from the Burton Union System, only used by the Marston’s Brewery in Burton. The famous Burton water is also used in the brewing process which helps give this ale its distinct flavour.

DrDre (1) - SCOTLAND - SEP 15, 2017 does not count
Far too bitter, Was expecting a smooth and refreshing drink. The alcohol is very poorly hidden.

Holmen1 (6304) - Stavanger, NORWAY - AUG 15, 2017
Flaske delt med Willy på brygga: klar gylden med fint skum som varer. Innbydende, floral og fruktig aroma og smak med citrus, blomster og karamell i en elegant balansert maltkropp. Lang, ren og god ettersmak. Superlettdrikkelig.

john44 (3331) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 4, 2017
Bottle. Pale Amber in colour. Hoppy; bitter grassy hops. Fruity; citrus lemon. Malty; biscuity malts, buttery caramel. Bitter citrus hops dominate slight malts. Bitter hoppy finish. Slightly harsh with a rather medicinal taste. (2010-12)

Swaroga (2223) - Warszawa, POLAND - JAN 22, 2017
Long bitterness with herbal notes. Some skunk and grains in the meantime. Nothing to do with IPA.

MayumiH (1214) - - JAN 1, 2017
Bottle at home. Clear amber in colour. Bit on the malty side. Pretty bitter. Medium carbonation. Mild finish.

Tokyo9 (250) - GERMANY - MAY 10, 2016
Grapefruit aroma
Very bitter finish, long lasting

A good IPA. _______________________________

AshtonMcCobb (6852) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 26, 2016
Bottle from global retailer. Appearance - bright copper with a nice fluffy head. Nose - dirty yeast and sulphur note. Light toffee breaking through. Taste - toffee and biscuits. Palate - light to medium bodied with a crunchy texture and a dry astringent finish. Overall - can’t say this is a great example of the style. More like a badly executed bitter.

Lloydy (100) - Worcestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 13, 2016
500ml bottle. It is malty, it is bitter, but smells a little strange and there is an unpleasant metallic taste to the bitter finish.

vipinvelp (4510) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - DEC 22, 2015
PINT tasting. Clear orange/yellow, small foam ring remaining. Little sulfur in aroma, starts of bitter, but fades away quickly. (Arnhem 201512)
