Bottle. Nose dark malt, earth, hint of smoke, slight vanilla and coffee beans. Taste is slightly sour, leading to earth, stale coffee, nut toast, dark malt and a bitter coffee dregs finish. Smells good but the sour / bitter finish didn't work for me. darrenwls (1) - Bridgend, WALES - SEP 27, 2017 does not count
I looked forward to this being a fan of porters and dark beers. Taste was bland. Aroma of dog wee. It went down the drain. PeatyPete (1108) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 31, 2017

Fizzy carbonation puts me off. wolfcarnival (289) - Oxford, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 19, 2017
bottle from sainsb. pours dark brown with a thick creamy head. roasty fresh coffee nose with crisp hops. tastes of dark malts, soft toffee fruits, bitter cocoa powder. short but decent. too fizzy, overpowers the flavour somewhat. a longer mellower taste would’ve been better. glad i got it tho gj

Bottle at home. Pours black colour with a beige head. Lightly smokey. Very subtle chocolate flavour. Light bodied. Swaroga (2224) - Warszawa, POLAND - JAN 25, 2017
Surprisingly well carbonated, dark brown but watery beer with roasted notes of coffee and black chocolate. Quite dry with delicate dark chocolate like sweetish background. Very traditional apart the strong carbonation.
