Warm and caramelly with another dictinctive taste - pine nuts maybe? produced as you chew through the malt. Doesn’t finish quite as well. But damn fine stuff. burcusabrews (106) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - SEP 15, 2004
Copper amber with thin white head. Aroma of nuts adn plums. Very new castle-ish but not skunked. Nutty flavor lingering to slight bitterness JesseM (1158) - Margaritaville, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 6, 2008
UPDATED: FEB 18, 2009 Well I finally got around to trying this one. Man, I wish I hadn’t waited so long to find out what a down-right delicious brew it is! The only other Vienna I’ve ever had was Brooklyn Lager, and I was not impressed at all, in fact I greatly disliked it, so I became a little hesitant towards the style. But this one has totally changed my perspective on a style that by all logical means I should be in love with. It pours a beautiful copper-ruby colour with a large, sticky, rocky beige head. The aroma, some saaz hops on top of a huge pile of various malts. The flavour, a delicious blend of caramel, munich, bready, biscuity malts, with some great hop bite, not a lot of saaz flavour that I tend to look for, but still very tasty and perfectly balanced. This beer is so tasty and enjoyable, and I love the little historical blurb on the side of the box. Out-standing! joeycapps (1468) - Waterdown, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 2, 2002
Bright reddish Amber colour. Lightly toasted malt aroma. Creamy, Medium body. Complex maltiness w/ moderately bitter finish. Well-balanced. blankboy (7689) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 11, 2005
Draught at Beerbistro. Pours a clear amber-orange with a small fizzy white head -- I was quite surprised by how nice it looked. Mild aroma of roasted and caramel malts along with a touch of hops. The flavour is the biggest surprise of all: WOW! Quite possibly the best lager in Canada? It tasted that good too me. The flavour, like the aroma, was a great blend of sweet malts and light hops and, like HogTownHarry mentioned, with a bit more hops this would have been a perfect beer. Just fantastic.

Deep brown, beige head, and fine lace. Strong malt nose and a somewhat sweet at the top, with a nice hop bite at the finish. Fresh, clean and fairly strong taste. Quite drinkable and a treat to me. mrkimchee (1414) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 19, 2002
amber colour, fluffy white head. big caramelly malt aroma. more sweet malt and faint hops in the mouth. overall quite malty, but the hops still let you know that they’re there. quite enjoyable. GregClow (3402) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 29, 2002
Beautiful amber colour, nice head. Lots of caramel and malt in the aroma and taste, with a pleasing hoppy undertone & finish. One of my summertime favourites. omhper (25117) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 6, 2002

341ml brown bottle. Poured brassy orange, small rocky white clinging head. Nice malt aroma, faint sweetness. Flavour is toasty, woody malts, hops come through in the finish, fainty herbal and earthy, lending some dryness and a very restrained bitterenss.
