Pale gold body, creamy white head hangs around.
Reasonably lively nose; hop notes of pine, grapefruit, cut grass, some caramel malt in there.
Palate is slick, oil with hops, good weight alludes to decent abv.
Resiny body - pine, citrus; your typical American West Coast affair - good bitterness with being overly aggressive, finished somewhat abruptly for a big beer.

Highly carbonated gold body with hop-pocked head. Sharp, piny nose, touch of grapefruit, and then a breeze of forest air sets in. Nicely bitter body with a bit of pine and grapefruit. Poured a slightly hazy pale gold with a one- to two-finger bright white dense foam head that retained very well and laced OK. Carbonation high, lively and medium bubbles. Aroma strongly of pine with hints of citrus (grapefruit, possibly orange) and tropical fruits (passionfruit). Taste of similar; initially moderately sweet then with plenty of pine/resinous flavour; nice hops bitterness in the back palate to round the taste off. Medium body. 355ml can from DMs (BB 8/17). Pours clear bright golden with a loose white head. Hoppy nose of pine needles, citrus (oranges, grapefruit) on top of the biscuity malts. Taste follows the nose, quite sweet up front for a DIPA before a resinous hop bitterness takes over. Palate is oily and medium bodied with a lively mouthfeel. Quite nice but there are better fresher locally brewed DIPAs out there.

Can, 11C (be inclined to try the next one colder). Clear pale gold with a frothy inch of white head. Aroma of grapefruit, mandarin, pine, some onion (enough that you can’t not notice once you do, but not enough to be really off-putting). Very sweet and apart from the hops, rather bland. Medium to high bitterness with resin and citrus, some pepper at the fairly classy finish. Pretty easy drinking for >8% (which is not a good thing). Goodish. Silver can. Gauzy paleness slicked over with white. Nose of orange and lime barley squash (neat), peach, pine, honey and slight bile. Good punchy straight-down-the-middle IPA uncluttered by soggy malt nonsense. All lemon zest, neat cordial and soapy flowers. Lean and savoury with zero heat. Succinctly labeled bomber shared and poured to snifters at Lunar Brewing Co. showing a hazed, gold tone, with a modest layer of soft white foam, and light spots of lacing. The nose was dankness, greenery, and earthiness, with only a touch of fruitiness. Light to medium bodied, with okay carbonation, the taste added a fairly strong and lingering bitterness that was earthy & rind-like, along with a bit of warmth. Not very taken in by the aroma & body, but the flavor recovered somewhat.
Why a separate bottling for the "Imperial IPA", when a simple description of the hop variation & abv would have sufficed?
