Everything youd expect from a great American IPA: Hop-forward, yet civilized. Bitter but balanced. Cascade hops ring loud and clear with citrus/pine notes and are backed up by a chorus of our other favorites - Apollo, Centennial, Chinook, Columbus, Crystal, and Simcoe.

12oz can - the appearance is a semi-hazy bright yellow with a med fluffy off white head. The aroma is mostly citrus hop (grapefruit, lemon, orange) based with a hint of pine and a light cracker malt. Slightly watery mouthfeel and light body. Tasty but not overly hopped and a balanced malt to match. I like

Bottle from Albertsons. Pale golden, mild haze, big fluffy head. Nice piney, floral hoppy aroma. Taste follows and is spot on. Nice full flavors, fruity, grassy, floral. Just the right amount of bitterness. Hits the mark for a widely distributed IPA.

Draft pour at Growler Guys, Lake City. Clean and light golden yellow pour with a disappearing head. A bit of a soapy hop aroma. Flavor is clean. Slightly juicy, tropical hops, and a cool finish. Not as much soapy soapy notes as the aroma suggests, but they are definitely there. Pretty easy to drink overall. Pleasant.

GG, Seattle. Thin bubble foam, rather clear generic yellow body. Bright tropical nose. Touch of cream to the body. Rising crisp bitter. Solid, tasty IPA but treading old ground.

12oz bottle from Thirsty Beer Store. Bright yellow, good head. Big woody hop aroma. Guava mango pine flavour. Big hoppy aftertaste. Quality IPA from a new brewery for me.

355ml can from DMs (BB 8/17). Slightly hazy light golden with a loose white head. Citrus notes (grapefruit, orange), some pineapple and stone fruits and light pine resin balanced by a honeyish malt presence on the nose and tongue. Rather lacks the green lip smacking hop freshness of the best US IPAs out there (which may reflect the long journey to Australia). Doesnt bowl me over.

Can BB 08.17. Hazy golden, white head. Citrus, pine, peach and tropical fruit, malty caramel sweetness. Tastes of spicy citrus, pineapple, grapefruit and orange. Spicy hops in the finish. Top IPA

080216. Can from Dan Murphys mighty fine beer this one with plenty of pineapple and tropical fruit flavours. Dull apricot skin colour with some haziness throughout. Full bodied with a resinous aftertaste.

Aroma is piney and citrusy with a light herbal touch. Taste delivers a well balanced mixture of all those things we loock for in a classic American IPA. Tangerines, grapefruit, mangos with a wide floral aura covering it all. Fades out into a well balanced polished bitterness.
