Bottle at World of Beer. Dark clear reddish brown with a resilient beige ring. Aroma of bourbon barrel, fig, black cherry, vanilla, and a touch of booze. Tastes sweet, boozy, fruity, and just very slightly bitter; and like it's full of black cherry. Full bodied and smooth. mar (5440) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 3, 2017
Deep amber with a ring of cream colored head.Nose is sticky, bourbon, alcohol, fruit, more alcohol, sweet and yeast. Sticky palate, heavy barrel, bourbon, yeast, dried fruits, and alcohol. coachd (930) - Missouri, USA - APR 22, 2017
Very strong bourbon barrel aroma. Heavy vanilla, oak and booze. Dark reddish/brown color with an off white head. Tastes like bourbon barrel as well with quad characteristics, slightly smoky, a little too sweet with a boozy aftertaste. Very good slick and thick palate. This was good. Not many breweries do a barrel aged quad. ctipping (2233) - Florida, USA - JAN 2, 2017

Bottle at Rudyard’s. It pours clear rich ruby with a small beige head. The aroma is rich, sweet, big vanilla, bourbon, toasted coconut, toffee, vanilla fudge, resin, wood and candy. The taste is rich, slick, unctuous, boosty toffee, pine, resin, alcohol warmth, dried fruits, fruit cake, some spice, burnt cake and honeycomb. The finish is rich and warming. Full body and prickly carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Great fun. The aroma is pretty exceptional. SteveBland (1) - Houston, Texas, USA - AUG 30, 2016 does not count

12 ounce bottle into chalice, bottle on 3/9/2016. Pours fairly crystal clear deep ruby red/brown color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, molasses, toffee, raisin, plum, fig, date, apple, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, bourbon barrel, and dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, molasses, toffee, raisin, plum, fig, date, apple, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light yeast and bourbon/oak tannic spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, molasses, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, coconut, dark fruit, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, bourbon barrel, and dark/bready malt flavors; with nice malt/oak/spiciness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Touch of dryness from tannic bourbon/oak spice as well. Medium carbonation and full body; with a very smooth and creamy/silky/slick mouthfeel that is awesome. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a mild warmth lingering after the finish; with zero barrel booziness. Overall this is an incredible barrel aged quadrupel style! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, bourbon barrel, and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV. A really amazing offering. Gespuccian (144) - Wisconsin, USA - JUL 20, 2016
Pours a dark amber color, slightly translucent; thin white head. Nose is sweet, like dates, vanilla, bourbon. Taste is a delicious marriage between Belgian quad and bourbon barrel. Dark fruit, sweet brown sugar, a little spice, and a nice kick of vanilla and bourbon. Alcohol comes through on the finish, which is warm, full, smooth, yet not overly heavy. Really good stuff here.
