Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours reddish copper with a nice off-white head and a sourish fruit aroma. There is a substantial caramel malt flavor with lot sof carbonation and a dry bitter finish. Very tasty with a warm alcohol trail. bhensonb (15190) - Woodland, California, USA - AUG 29, 2011
Bottle from ericandersnavy. Pours brilliant copper with a creamy beige head. Nice fruit aromas. Med body. Light heat. Mild roast malt backbone. Light brown sugar. Moving from DIPA towards barley wine. Very good drink. Suttree (6385) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 29, 2011
The one thing I noted about this is that it is pretty dry, compared to most Double IPAs. I smelled a little boozy, but that was not really evident in the taste. Very hoppy, though. I liked it. tronraner (2459) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - AUG 28, 2011
Sample at a tasting at Suttree’s. Pours clear orange with whitish head. Fruity hop aroma with pineapple, tangerine, slight pine, and a hint of alcohol. The flavor is grapefruit, pineapple, and some bitter pine in the finish. Slightly resinous. Not too shabby. bierkoning (13352) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - AUG 12, 2011
Bottle from ericandersnavy, thanks! Amber color. Malt and lots of peach in the lovely aroma. Malty sweet, peachy flavor. Some oily hops and ripe plums, lingering on in the aftertaste. Hints of perfume. Full bodied and slightly alcoholic.

12 oz bottle. Clear bronze brown with a hilly white head. Nose is pear, peach, pink grapefruit and toffee; kind of unusual. Oily, resiny medium body with a buzz. Taste is orange marmalade, grapefruit pith and bitter grass. Bold with a nice hop bite. cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - AUG 8, 2011
Bottle @ home, courtesy of cavie. Thanks Travis! Red orange appearance with a cream colored head and nice lacing. Nice moderately grapefruit, mildly earthy hoppy nose. Moderately grapefruit hoppy, light earthy hoppy, sweet pale malty flavor. A pretty good, sweet IIPA. BelgianBeerGal (4066) - Panama City, Florida, USA - AUG 1, 2011
Closing out the Worthington IPA throwdown. This bottle is a few months old. Clear copper color with a big khaki head and thick lacing. Nice mellow hop scent with sweetness and bitterness. Big flavor that starts hoppy and finishes bitter and malty. The almost 9ABV is well hidden. jtclockwork (16581) - , New Jersey, USA - JUL 18, 2011
Bottle thanks to Victor at his tasting at Paul’s. Pours caramel brown. White head. Nose/taste of caramel malt, citrus, apricot, hops and pine. Dry pine finish. Medium body. j12601 (11676) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUL 18, 2011
Bottle at Victor’s bracket box tasting at Paul’s. Pours a just clear orange amber with a thin white head. Big sticky citrus, lots of sweet caramel and malt. Big and malty, hops have faded a bit, citrus and malt. More malty sweetness on the finish with some light oxidization and soft bitterness.
