COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The color is deep amber with a light, creamy head. The nose starts off with a touch of citrus but then turns decidedly into peaches. The taste starts off with creamy malt resulting from the pale 2 row and caramel malts and Saint Arnold yeast. The hop bitter starts low then builds to a crescendo, but always maintains a balance even in its big finish. The hop flavor continues to be peaches, an interesting manifestation of the Columbus, Simcoe and Centennial hops. This is the first Divine Reserve that we have filtered. This decision was made to make the hop flavors brighter, plus it would have been a bottling nightmare with all the hop bits in it. This beer is best enjoyed at 45° or even a little warmer. Though the recipe and style indicate this beer to be enjoyed fresh, we expect this beer to develop interestingly over the years.

Draught. Pours golden with a moderate white head. Aroma is resiny hops and sweet malt. Flavor is similar. Not sure what I was expecting, but it ended up a bit sweeter and less hoppy than I thought it might be, though there is definitely a lot of hop character, just not in as much of an aggressive sort of way. I think it works pretty well, though possibly slightly sweeter than my normal preference. A quite well-balanced DIPA, not a pure hop-bomb.

[2015 Backlog] Bottle shared by Victor at Paul’s during the FF tasting. Pours a deep brown body with white head. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with notes of caramel malt, sweet spice, alcohol and pine resin.

Can (12oz) Somewhat cloudy orange with big off white head. Medium plus body, medium carbonation. Taste is a little pineapple, but more pine bitterness that grows.

Bottle. Large creamy off white head. Thick cloudy dark amber color. Aroma of peach, flower, pine, grapefruit, caramel, grain, ryebread. Full body with a thick texture. Heavy bitter with good counter sweetness, quite balanced for this style. Lingering bitter and thick sweet finish.

12oz can as Endeavour from bananabi11, thanks! Orangey amber pour with an off white head leaving little lacing. Aroma has sweet fruits, big citrus and some sweet malts. Taste leads with bitter fruits, some pine, some sweet fruits, some biscuity malt. The blend is solid. The body is medium. There is some alcohol presence. Finishes more bitter than bittersweet. Shrug? This is bitterly interesting, but is missing underneath depth. 13.4

Pours golden amber with a creamy colored head. Aromas are not easily perceived, but first taste is bold and a mouthful; not an aggressive hoppy beer, but undoubtedly a great IPA.

This was pretty good. A nice color, the hops are good and well balanced. Not too sweet. A solid double IPA.

mateuszk (2670) - Poznań, POLAND - AUG 19, 2016
Pours clear and pale amber in colour with nice white head. Aroma of malt, light caramel and some pine hops. In taste medium sweet, malty with strong bitterness. Medium body, moderate carbonation, bitter finish. ABV well hidden, this beer is rally good balanced and lacks maybe stronger kick of hops in the aroma.
