COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Important: let this beer warm to at least 50° before enjoying. This beer is black with some ruby highlights. The nose is full of pumpkin pie spices and some alcohol. There are notes of nutmeg, caraway and vanilla. The taste starts with chocolate malt with a hint of spice and rolls into a warm spicy alcohol taste which has the effect of creating the balance that usually comes from the hop bitter. There is some hop bitter on the finish, but not much. Overall, this beer finishes relatively dry for such a big beer. As it warms, the spices move forward in the taste and the chocolate moves to the finish. The pumpkin provides a pleasant undertone and a nice mouthfeel. The spices will probably fade some over time; they mellowed considerably while still in the fermenter.

Originally brewed as Divine Reserve #9.

Bottle from friend who bought n Seattle. Reminded me to drink once Seattle beat Niners. Dark brown to black with tannish brown hean. Great small bubble carbonation with pumpkin spice aroma. Favor same as aroma..,...pretty darn good.

Sampled at Goose island brewery staff bottle share. One last pumpkin beer for the season. Let's go for it. A very spicy nose. Definitely has a bit of the creaminess of a pumpkin pie, that is, with actual pumpkin in it.

Appearance: Dark brown. Two fingers of medium to larger tan bubbles. Nose: Dark roasted chocolate malts, vanilla, pie spice, booze and pumpkin. Taste: More of the nose. Sweeter, boozier dark chocolate and earthy pumpkin blending well with a good amount of spice. Body: Fuller, and silky. Good carbonation. Parting thoughts: A very nice large boozy pumpkin pie bomb. Probably the best of the style that I’ve tried. fantastic.

Black pour with a tan head. Aroma is chocolate, roast, cinnamon, nutmeg, chocolate, caramel. Medium to full body, pumpkin type flavors are dominating but not overpowering. Not overly complex, just a well made take on the style.

Bottle (22oz). Black. Strong pumpkin aroma. Some roasted malt, light chocholate. Taste is the same. Some spice.

Pours like espresso into a British imperial pint glass, with a rapidly collapsing frothy beige lacing. Scents of nutmeg spice and vanilla. The flavor oozes of Xmas rum pudding, pumpkin and cinnamon. The finish is rich, oily, and boozy with notes of Bourbon. A great autumn stout, robust and satisfying. Cheers St Arnold’s!

22 ml bottle from Tavour poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a near black with a beige head of foam that dissipates quickly. The aroma has sweet pumpkin pie spice. Like a sugary cinnamon crust. Almost like a churro. Pretty good roast character as well. Big body and medium to high carbonation.

On tap at Whip In, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is decadent, with heaps of pumpkin purée, some toffee, and light pumpkin spices. Flavour is decadent, with heaps of pumpkin purée, brown sugar, and caramel. Soft on the palate, with a wonderful blend of flavours. Sweet but not cloying. Lovely stuff.

Served up on tap at Whip In. One of the more unique establishments I've visited. Blonderedhead present. Short pour in a tulip glass. Darker brown, maybe ruby in color. Aroma packs a big pumpkin pie quality with cinnamon and vanilla and nutmeg. Taste is exactly what you want from a pumpkin beer. Big flavor and instantly recognizable spices like nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves. Alcohol burn is definitely felt towards the end. Only one per sitting is recommended. This one nails the style perfectly...not really able to find fault.

22 oz. bottle. 10.5% ABV per the label. Pours a thin poorly retained head over a clear dark (SRM 30) body......nose is heavy spices with cinnamon, ginger, clove, allspice tones, also heavy nutmeg, hints pumpkin, mild roasted malts with chocolate tones........taste is moderately sweet mild molasses overtones with dominating spices including cinnamon, ginger, allspice, making for a cookie tone, mild pumpkin, mild roasted malts with chocolate tones, finishing with mild hop tones, spices dominant.........mouth feel, medium sticky body, alcohol heat present, slight carbonation. This is an utterly spice dominated beer with the malts, hops and pumpkin relatively hidden. BJCP 7/2/12/4/5
