Very light haze on this amber beer, little off white head. Light minerally palate, semi dry. A little sweet malt. Mild minerals. Insipid hops, barely there! Light sweet esters. Semi dry finish. Muted and dull.
Bottle shared at CPK in London. Thanks to Bruce. Pours clear gold with a creamy white head. Plenty of doughy bread here, strong Belgian yeast, candi sugar. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, simple bready malts, toffee, yeast. Simple, pretty tasty. brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 27, 2013
Golden pour with a white head. Nice citrus peel aromas, particularly orange. Floral and spicy hop notes, some pepper, hints of banana, and yeast. Somewhat dry flavor with a mild bread sweetness. Notes of banana and orange, some pepper, and a hint of grass. Floral and spicy hops, mild bitterness, and yeast. Sammy (12600) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 26, 2014
Closer to a pale lager, however with some yeast and slight spice character. No smell or colour and so-so drinkability. daknole (11050) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - AUG 15, 2013
Light amber pour, white head. Very sweet up front followed by some apple juice notes, caramel and light doughy flavors.

Slightly hazy golden with a foamy white head. Estery, spicy, and slightly dusty nose with some pear and pale earthy cereal grains. Peppery flavor of yeasty esters, dough, light mild herbal bitterness, sweet pale maltiness and a subtle hint of dusty spiciness with a slightly bitter finish.

Big thanks to Sammy for this one. Pours reddish brown with fizzy head and no lasting lacing. Fairly low carbonation. Taste is boozy and a little too sugary. Smell has some florals. Finish is boozy bitter and slightly sours as the taste progresses. Oily texture. Decent but could do with a little more integration. nimbleprop (8708) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JAN 11, 2013
12oz bottle pours a clear, dark orange with some clumpy white head. Nose is mostly Belgian, almost like a triple, candy sugar, malt, crackers, yeast, some citrus. Flavor is nice, sweet, yeasty, raisin, orange, a little candy sugar. Slightly watery, dry finish. This reads more Belgian style singel to me. deep amber .. light head, as is the lacing .. . on the old bastard again, don’t freeze .. . light bitterness- very light fruit skin, modest yeast, and bitter caramel like monkey .. . good for a quick snort but needs more depth to be a repeat buy, but i can see what they were going for so cheers to that
