COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
I wanted to make a big west coast IPA with tons of Mosaic and thought rye would add an interesting element to it. This copper colored take on an American IPA uses Rye and Cara Rye to add a distinct spicy flavor. The sweetness from those malts help balance out the bitterness created by the six varieties of American hops used in the beer. Columbus, Chinook, Centennial, Cascade, Simcoe and Mosaic combine to create a fruity, piney bouquet of flavors. The beer is fermented with our house yeast and has two huge Mosaic dry hop additions to create an aggressive depth in the aroma. This beer is best enjoyed at 40F and 55F.

Bottle. Light brown color with little head. Nose is rye and musty hops. Taste has held up well with the rye present and the hop profile still fresh.

On tap, poured into a shaker. The aroma is a bright, pungent marmalade and toast combination. The beer is a brilliant orange brown with a dense white head and has good lace and moderate retention. The taste is balanced bittersweet just north of medium. It?s smooth and creamy with a fuzzy carbonation and medium body. Flavors of oranges and bread crust are noted with a finish that?s crisp with notes of rye bread and a zesty, bitter citrus membrane (grapefruit). Late in the drink, some metal appears. The aftertaste is mild, short, and lightly astringent with grapefruit bitterness and light rye graininess.

A rich orange/ slightly reddish hued body with a frothy, chewy cap that is leaving some nice lace. Aromas and flavors of pine, earth and fruity hops, the spice of the rye gives it a little kick. Nice balance between the hops and the rye.

A fun ipa with a sweet toast and caramel aroma. Pours a little hazy with a medium head that fades quickly. Sweet malty flavor up front and a dry rye punch that hits you from out of no where. This is a really wonderful brew!
