Great oktoberfest. I am especially impressed with this beer compared to most of the others in the St. Arnold collection. Hoppy/yeasty initial impression, deep aber brown hue, wonderful hints of hops and strength as the beer progresses. Still maybe not quite up there with the best of the German ones, but its pretty good.

Honey and malt. Sweet. Hint of spice. Light orange-amber with a foamy off white head. Moderate retention. Leaves a thin film on the surface. Velvety mouthfeel. Almost chewy while not being heavy. Lots of malt. Earthy backtones. A slight hit of hops. Very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2017 A surprisingly good Octoberfest from Texas. Better Octoberfest than Sam Adams but not as good as Spaten

A good but lighter tasting Oktoberfest. It's a drop on the sweet side when it comes to finish, but on tap I imagine the flavors open up a bit more ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma: lots of malt with some cereal; Appearance; clear amber pour with thin white head that dissipates quickly; Taste: extremely malty with slightly unpleasant background; Palate: medium body with long, overly sweet finish; Overall: not interested in getting again.

At a tasting, thanks, small bubbly head, a touch hazy and quite deep orange color, aroma of honey, cookies and caramel, flavor of caramel and hay with a jammy hint, light bitterness, a bit unpleasant sourness. Not too great.

September 2016 - Bottle share at Monday Mega Boost, Ticker Towers. Many thanks to Scopey for this one. As ’Saint Arnold Oktoberfest’, 6.6%. Clear orange, still, foamy tan head. Aroma is light, papery, cardboard, a touch peachy. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is toffee-ish malt, bready, tangerine, soft bitterness. Not bad actually. (3.1)
