Aroma has christmasy spices, licorice and pumpkin. Flavour has gingerbread, licorice, some coffee and mild ginger tones. Nice and christmasy :)
Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is close to black. Aroma and taste are pumpkin pie, vanilla, nutmeg, roast malt, chocolate and hops. Nice bitter finish. coachd (1028) - Missouri, USA - MAR 20, 2015
2012 edition. Roasty pumpkin pie spice aroma. I’m also getting some anise and baker’s chocolate. Smells more stout than pumpkin beer. Pours a very dark brown with a tiny sprinkle of tan foam. Tastes spicy and slightly boozy. Very slight pumpkin flavor in the aftertaste. I am not getting any of the hop bitterness from the description, but I am not missing it. As it warms it gets more chocolatey. The palate should be stronger. Even as I am judging it as an imperial stout (a much tougher category), I think it holds up well. Very drinkable and delicious.

Sampled at the brewery. Is first and seriously so. Syrupy chocolate is. Good pumpkin spice, skp the actual pumpkin part. suprchunk (2994) - EffOff, Florida, USA - NOV 26, 2014
Dark brown, almost black pour. Small off white head. No lacing. Big pumpkin aroma with pie notes. Clove and cinnamon. Taste is cinnamon up front followed by way too much ginger and clove. Way too much. hotstuff (5300) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 22, 2014
Rated on 02-18-2013 at Saint Arnold B.C. (2011 Version) This bottled beer has a small tan head that has a long retention, semi-transparent brown body, very little carbonation observed, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is pumpkin, sweet, cinnamon, spicy, gingerbread, and roasted, caramel malt. This beer’s flavor is pumpkin pie, gingerbread, cinnamon, sweet, spicy, and has a dry finish. This beer is medium bodied. This beer is very quaffable and has a very enjoyable flavor. It is well worth trying. HeadyDE (899) - Delaware, USA - NOV 16, 2014
2012 bottle at tasting..pours a dark caramel color with minimal head as expected..nose is big time pumpkin pie presence..with pumpkin all spice..caramel apple..really nice nose all around..probably mellowed out a bit with a few years..the pumpkin is very nicely done here with just the right amount of pumpkin..feels like this spent some time mellowing in a barrel? overall cant imagine a better pumpkin offering than this..not a gigantic pumpkin guy but this is quite well done..happy to try... meyers1023 (94) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - NOV 4, 2014
Very little head when poured into the glass. Almost black in appearance. Smells sweet with a hint of alcohol. A very good mouthfeel and the tastes blend well together with the alcohol kick at the end. Definitely a sipper.
