bottle-pours lightly hazy dark yellow with a small fizzy white head. nose is yeasty banana and lite grains. has a spice to it as well, which makes it a bit more nice. flavors are banana up front, with some medicinal notes followed by a litely grainy finish with lingering banana. However, this is not a hefe, its both kolsch and hefe half and half in my taste. however, since this is listed as a kolsch, i think its pretty cool. if this were a hefe, i would think its terrible. a very quafible beer even on a colder day. however, this would be amazing on a hot texas day! I hope its still around by then. BeerCast_Rich (1906) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 6, 2011
[355ml bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk] Clear, lemon yellow pour. Big white head. Yeasty, slightly Belgian aroma. Saison-esque flavours of yeasty lemon – but also some sweet butter in there. Ends quite abruptly, and a bit spicy. You can definitely detect the Hefe yeast. Sampled alongside the Lawnmower – to be honest I preferred that to this cgarvieuk (25987) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 3, 2011

In bottle next to the Lawnmower. I much prefer this beer. Pours a pale straw colour with a decent white head. Aroma of popcorn, biscuity malt, lemon, grass and yeast. Similar flavours with a chewy mouth-feel. Not bad. Tabednar (139) - - NOV 11, 2011

Sour, hoppy taste more similar to an IPA. Very good.

On tap at the brewery, pleasantly surprised by this beer. Hazy golden hue with a small white head. Aromas are grassy, grainy and estery with noticeable 4vg clove notes. Flavors are spicy, clove, black peppery, light esters. Dry grainy notes. Lively bubbles, light bodied, dry.
Really nice and dry which aides quaffability. Really easy drinking, tasty stuff! GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 17, 2011
355mL thanks to blutt59. Pours a hazy straw to gold looking with witbier with a larger, bright white head. Good retention and big rings of lace. Nose is estery and mild banana- pretty hefeweizen yeast forward. Pretty intense butter in the nose. Taste is big carbonation, mild soap, decent butter heftiness, fresh dough. Not bad...a little buttery. 50belair (3682) - Florida, USA - OCT 15, 2011
On tap at the Flying Saucer in downtown H-town baby... Pale yellow pour with a white head. Light and refreshing with citrus and German yeast flavors.. piscator34 (2647) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - OCT 11, 2011
On draft at Avenue Pub, New Orleans. Yellow in colour with fairly strong carbonation. Aromas are of white bread dough, lemons, and a bit of clove. Similar in the mouth, with doughy and lemony overtones. A bit of spice and very faint green hop on the finish. Medium bodied with a dry finish. An above average session beer. Fresh 12oz Fort Worth bottle. Pretty nice kolsch and seemed true to form. Only weird thing was the flavor took a little time to settle out and I swear it sometimes smelled like salami!
