Deep, dark brown, no head. Nose is dark roasted malt. Bittersweet. Middle is coco & molasses. Finish snaps dry, and rolls out slightly bitter. harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - DEC 24, 2013
Unknown brew/bottle date.
A: Pours dark brown with cherry candy highlight thru the light. single finger loose latte head dissipates quickly and leaves a thin sheet of the same. No lacing.
S: coffee, cocoa, prunes, fig, graham malts. Hints of resiny hops and what smells like over steeped simcoes. Nice creamy smell here as well.
T: Coffee porter is what this tastes like, not stout. Nonetheless, good, malty, roasty profile with dark cocoa nibs, raisins. Good beer.
M: medium body with medium/high carb.
O: Well done, not great, but above average. If I were in Houston, and this was on tap, I would likely drink again.

On tap at the Railroad Seafood Station Brewing Company.
Not quite black pour, off-white head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee. It was a little lighter than most stouts, but otherwise very typical flavor.
All in all, just average. Lupulucid (189) - - JUL 11, 2013
This is slightly atypical of a stout in several ways. The carbonation is a bit higher than I would expect and the body is lighter. The beer is not opaque, not even close. Overall, it seems like a delightful porter. The mouthfeel has a touch of chalkiness which I really like. There is a hint of mint and herbaceous character that adds complexity in an appealing way. I dinged the rating a bit because of the odd approach but I really like this beer. rougeau13 (3011) - Richmond, Texas, USA - MAR 21, 2013
Tap. Very dark with a big beige head. Subtle, but nice sweet and roasted malt aroma. Medium-full body and smooth mouth feel. Roasted and chocolaty tasting. Decent.

Draught. Pours a near black color with a small off-white head. Nose is a subtle little roasty, but still subtle. Not a huge amount of smell to it. Taste is much the same. It’s a decent stout, but nothing I’d actively seek out. thedm (6178) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - FEB 18, 2013
This bottled brew from the brewery poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque dark black colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The nice aroma was sweet and dark malt. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of mild hops and dark malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again. oddaroma (139) - Texas, USA - FEB 13, 2013
Dark. Lots of toasted malt. Slight chocolate and coffee. Finish has toffee and caramel. Good stout by a good brewer. Crispy34 (496) - Texas, USA - FEB 4, 2013
Cask. Aroma is of sweet and dark malt. Appearance is black with a creamy light tan head. The taste starts sweet and turns into a dark dry flavor. Not very complex. The palate is dry and leaves a weird film in the mouth. Overall, an ok beer. Many better stouts out there.

Bottle from a BA trader - thanks! Brown cola colored pour with a thin slick of tan foam. Aroma is light chocolate, roast, minimal coffee, and some hop bitterness. Taste is light chocolate and roast with a molasses-type sweetness and some hop bitterness. Light mouthfeel. Drinks more like a light porter than a stout but nothing really offensive about it.
