Light unclear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel and roasted notes, spicy, moderate yeasty, yeasty fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle [750ml] shared w/ friends at the ’2nd Annual Buffalo Cask Festival’ -- c/o swoopjones. Pours a hazy orange-copper with a spare creamy off-white head. Aroma’s weird, and not in a good way. It’s malty along with yeast and fruit but there’s an oddness to it that I can’t describe that I did not care for. Watery, somewhat sweet flavour of citrus fruit, light spices, caramel and alcohol. Dry, spicy finish. Average bodied. Just O.K. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - FEB 4, 2010
Sampled on 1/8/2010. This Biere de Garde pours a medium orange gold color from a 75cl swing-top bottle. Medium to small sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, with a touch of honey. A medium bodied Biere de Garde. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy. Nice balance. Slightly sweet. A very drinkable, but not remarkable winter ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet

Beer pours orange with a white head. The aroma is toffee, honey and some sweet malts. The flavor is more of the same with a nice earthy hop bitterness to prevent the beer from being too sweet. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation. Cavie (4760) - Arlington, Texas, USA - FEB 1, 2010
Bottle courtesy of ericandersnavy. Amber appearance. Smells of amber malts and light honey. Sharp taste that fades very quickly. Very malty flavor. Some honey sweetness with gentle fruit. Finishes easy with a tight buttery sweetness. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 14, 2010

Hazy amber color, low carbonation. Better than the last time, but still, the aroma shows some apples (undesired), the flavor is malty and sweetish, with low bitterness and some fruity presence; delicate spices too.

Hazy amber color. Simple Ale, some sweetish caramel flavor, too much alcohol, some vegetables, light spices. Confused.
