75 cl bottle @ Timo A. BBE 03/2010Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - JAN 1, 2011
Pours clear mahogany color with a small head, a bit lively. Aroma has quite a lot of ripe fruits, caramel malts, some mild spices and some yeast. Flavor is a bit watery, spices, caramel malts and ripe fruits, plums and raisins on the front, some distant berries also. Probably one of the best Biere de Gardes I’ve tasted, maybe they age well..
It’s dark golden with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, light perfumed fruit and yeast. The sweet flavour has notes of caramel, light fruit, spicy yeast and hints of chocolate. The body is quite full, and it’s easy to drink. sebletitje (10080) - Enghien, BELGIUM - MAR 21, 2010
pours amber gold, white head.
Aroma and flavors, light malty-Belgian yeasty palate and nose. Some hints of fruit; light apple tart mixed with other dark fruits, yeast with a mild roasted finish. Inviting medium body, with a lingering malty mouthfeel. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 26, 2010
750mL fliptop courtesy of ryan. Poured a clear orange to amber with a small, white head leaving small, spotty lace. Nose is apple cider, non-oxidized red apples, overripe pear. Taste is all malty, soft, rich oatmeal malty with clover honey and very moderate spice. Chewy, starchy palate. Soft carbonation. Pretty much a textbook example of perfect malt extraction. Swingtopbottle at home. High fluffy lasting off-white head. Clear dark amber beautifyl body. Herbal malty straw aroma. Sweet fruity roasted malt caramel plum raisin flavor with a spicy note and little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long sweet finish.

bottle from jaghana - thanks! Hazy amber-brown colour, large off-white head. Malty, caramel, "christmassy" spices, spicy hops in the finish. Well-balanced beer. jmgreenuk (9455) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - NOV 26, 2012
Draft at La Fine Mousse, Paris. Reddish brown pour with a bubbly broken head. The aroma is malty with yeasty notes. The flavour is bitter with fruity notes on the palate. A rather drinkable ale but the range of flavours and the smoothness and warmth that one might expect in this kind of ale is sadly missing. 3fourths (9347) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 17, 2012
bottle-conditioned 750ml. lightly-hazed chestnut brown body with a medium-sized sandy head. fruitcake nose of nuts / nut oils, wood, berries / jam / maraschino cherries / fruit / melanoidin malt. soft texture dark baked cracker malt with lightly musty / tart yeast. a slightly-dark sweet, woody, nutty, fruity, estery winter beer that I would peg for Belgian. bb (9268) - Alamo, California, USA - MAR 5, 2010
Bottle. Bronze beer with a dark cream colored head. Light sweet malt aroma. Malt and spice flavor with yeast, earth, and light sweetness. Medium-plus bodied. Malt and light plastic notes linger with light spice. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 8, 2010
