Pours a deep copper amber with a spotty-lacing off-white head. Has a sweet toasty caramel malty nose with some light holiday spice and light fruity notes. Starts with some light toasty caramel sweetness and a touch light fruits and clove before a slightly drier and earthy finish. A pretty true to style and complex biere de garde.

A Mes rate. Bottle at Chris O’s Night of the Gaylords.
Dirty yellow brown with a thin off white head. Nothing special really. Very yeasty and sugary sweet with a bit of bread and cinnamon. Spicy finish. Blah.

Pours hazy orange / amber with a small off-white head. The aroma has the biere de garde maltiness, but is considerably sweeter with an almost candy sugar like presence.& light nuttiness. Medium body that has biting carbonation. The taste is drier than the aroma with a papery aspect interwoven with the aroma traits along with some lemony sourness. The finish has a hint of peach. Okay beer.

Hazy brown beer, firm head, lovely spicy notes in the aroma. Christmas spices. Cinnamon, nutmeg and white pepper, fine malt, some bitterness in the finish. Some cheating here suing the soices, perhaps, but a nice beer.

Bottle: The aroma is fruit (plum and grape) and candi sugar. It pours a hazy, bordering on cloudy, amber with a small off-white head that fades to a thin film. The flavor has lots of grape and plum. There is some faint tartness in the background. The finish has some light caramel and the faintest hint of spice. Light-medium bodied with lively carbonation.

750ml bottle split with Anndiesel. Unfiltered burgundy brown. I really enjoy the subtle, delicate malt nuances of a French Bierre de Garde, and it is always a pleasure to try another. This one leans into Belgian Christmas Ale/WInter Warmer territory, with luscious amber malt tones, and some candied fruitcake flavors. Overall displays a great balance. A touch of bitter balancing bitterness up front leads toasty, clean malt finish, touches of raisin and cherry. Right on, a great Christmas beer.

Bottle 75cl, a clear amber beer with good creamy head. Nose is grainy with yeast touch. Aroma is spicy on licorice and cinnamon, caramel and vanilla touch, sweet, cherry touch, grainy, good.
