0.75 l bottle. Amber color with fading head. Sweetish aroma with toffee, dark caramel, berries, vanilla, lemon, some tartness, some fruitiness and some musty notes of cellar. Sweetish caramelly, toffeish, musty and slightly metallic flavor with raisins and figs. A bit too sweet and full bodied, the biere de garde aromas and flavors are masked. Although mustiness is typical for biere de gardes, here the musty character is kind of dull. fonefan (49301) - VestJylland, DENMARK - FEB 17, 2010

Aroma is moderate malty, caramel and roasted notes, spicy, moderate yeasty, yeasty fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
(750ml flip-top bottle) Pours a lightly hazy amber body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of pine, florals, grass, nuts, and spices. Flavor of herbs, Belgian yeast, raisins, caramel, dates, light spruce, and grass. vyvvy (6468) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - MAR 5, 2010
Pours hazy orange / amber with a small off-white head. The aroma has the biere de garde maltiness, but is considerably sweeter with an almost candy sugar like presence.& light nuttiness. Medium body that has biting carbonation. The taste is drier than the aroma with a papery aspect interwoven with the aroma traits along with some lemony sourness. The finish has a hint of peach. Okay beer. Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - JAN 1, 2011
It’s dark golden with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, light perfumed fruit and yeast. The sweet flavour has notes of caramel, light fruit, spicy yeast and hints of chocolate. The body is quite full, and it’s easy to drink.

, Copenhagen - Amber to brown pour with white head. Aroma and taste is sweet malty and fruity, caramel and fudge, some spices in there as well. Ok.
Dark amber ale with a bready toasted cinnamon aroma. The flavour Is dark fruit, toasted malt, with a dry finish, slightly warming. This is pleasant but lacks the richness and spiciness of the best Belgian Xmas ales. fiulijn (20493) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 11, 2010

Hazy amber color, low carbonation. Better than the last time, but still, the aroma shows some apples (undesired), the flavor is malty and sweetish, with low bitterness and some fruity presence; delicate spices too.

Hazy amber color. Simple Ale, some sweetish caramel flavor, too much alcohol, some vegetables, light spices. Confused.
