A true amber beer from Nord. It also respects the conditions of Saveurs en or. Its slightly roasty taste is obtained using torrefied malts.

Flöska. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma of toastish malt with caramel and some spice. Ok mouthfeel. Flavour has toasted malt and caramel with some spice, bit dark fruit towards the finish.

750ml swingtop bottle pours a hazy golden orange color with a 3 finger off-white head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is lots of caramel with some nuts and grass. Taste is caramel malty sweet with a nuttiness and grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Light to medium bodied and nicely carbonated. There just seemed to be something missing from this one, and just did not do anything for me.

Bottle. Has a clear amber colour with a very frothy light beige head. A lot of dried fruit in the aroma with with plums and dades. Pretty much wood, and leather as well, and some spices, nearly peppery. More wood and dried fruits in the flavour with also some chocolate, and with a hint of alcohol. Feels a bit belgian. Soft and a bit sparkly mouthfeel, and a medium woodish bitterness that lasts. An okay biere de garde but maybe more on the bitter side.

A hazy amber beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has notes of grassy hops, and lighter notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of metal, malt, alcohol, and caramel

Al naso è piena con decisi sentori maltati e caramellati. In bocca è di corpo pieno, caramello, tostata, maltata è un finale appena alcolico.

330mL from Cave a Bulles. I usually don’t like these Page 24 beers but ryan is so obsessed with them I’ll have to give these another shot. Pours clear reddish amber with a towering yellow head with sheen top. Nice retention. Malty raisin and oatmeal nose with decent citrus hops. Taste is tangy and almost metallic with oatmeal and mineral water. Earthy grain and mild oatmeal but still with little body to match the malt forwardness. Tangy and coppery. Webby lace. After decanting and warming it gains some nice rustic cinnamon oatmeal. Fuller body. Very nice. Excellent malty showcase with mild raisin and butter grainy bread crust. Rustic farmy grain feel with full on malt showcase. Quite nice. Takes a lot of patience to enjoy. No off character. Any trace metallic eliminated with decanting and warming. Gains that elusive thick and oily correct "malt extraction" excellence. Very nice though tempermental and giving poor first impressions. Great for style. Pain in the ass to dissect.
