(75cl bottle) Purchased at Cook Street Liquor in Victoria. Pours a foamy, white head atop a cloudy blonde body. Nose is surprisingly both yeasty and hoppy. Some chalk, perfume and very smooth malt beaten by energetic hops. Good stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Matts_Property (837) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 27, 2011
Bottle split with mcberko. Pours a hazy rich ruby red with thick creamy head. Aroma of yeast, nutmeg, and dry red wine qualities. Flavour of yeast, cinnamon, nutmeg, toasted caramel and brown sugar. Mouthful of a dry red wine. Enjoyable, but not overly thrilling.

mcberko (18977) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 27, 2011
750mL bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours murky dark amber with a big creamy off-white head. Aroma is very spicy - cinnamon and nutmeg jump out predominantly, with a bit of brown sugar and toffee. Flavour is a very pleasant balance of caramel / brown sugar and the aforementioned spices, with more of the sweeter side lingering. Medium bodied with a semi-sweet but dry finish. Quite nice.
