This beer is a pleasure from when you see it in the shelf till you empty the bottle.
I have to say this is one of the most balanced beers i have tasted. CaptainTilven (191) - Nancy, FRANCE - APR 11, 2015
Hazy golden; creamy foam which becomes soapy. Smells of agrums, coriander, grass, pine tar. Very good balance from the first sip; bitterness, light sourness; a bit of honey, a bit of roundness; consistency and high fineness. Nice with my own baekeof; very nice with a brioche (home made with a lot of yeast). ryan (3186) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - MAR 3, 2010
Damn. Nose is honey, bready, cracker malts, dusty yeast, light golden fruits. Taste is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, with fruity, peppery, and dusty yeast, a good dose of honey, very floral hops, and golden raisins. Medium body is moderately carbonated and silky. Awesome, awesome beer. Thanks for the recommendation TAR! TAR (2742) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - AUG 6, 2009
Rusty gold. Alluringly creamy and persistent white foam. Rustic yet brightly fruity nose of minerals, dusty yeast, toasted hay, aniseed, dried pineapple, cotton candy, and herbal hops. Whiff of sulfur lurks in the background. Dense and fluffy carbonation. Considerably mouth-filling with a well-rouned lagerlike fullness. Snappy minerals gently lift the rich yet pristine cakey malt base while lending vivid definition and crispness. Residual sweetness teases the palate as it deposits shades of cotton candy and cake to create a magical alliance with the dusty yeast. Yeast coats the palate with a pillow-soft doughy element while the malt flutters about, expressing ample flavor and a tongue-hugging powdery textures with suggestive toasted hay notions. Baked apple flabbiness remains distant enough so as to not weigh down the immaculate attenuation or overshadow the array of subtleties too much. Peppery notes shyly exude throughout, adding yet more layers of nuance. Finishes continually dusty and mineralic, with an artfully subdued punctuation of flavorsome hops which seamlessly morph into a well-polished spicy and herbal bitterness. Beers like this are among the most difficult to craft. This is an exquisite work of art, chock-full of spellbinding subtleties combined with rustic allure and character. Bottle from Ryan. Gold, white head, tiny carb bubbles. Doughy bread up front, toasted malt, yeasty, dusty, light floral, light honey. Flavor on par. Yeast character comes through a tad more in the flavor, tiny bit of residuel sweetness, peppery finish. Medium mouthfeel, fades to silky smooth mouthfeel. Very well done.

Head is initially average sized, frothy/fizzy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy medium yellow, bottle conditioned.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain/bread), lightly to moderately hoppy (honeysuckle flowers, herbs), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of honey, gum, mint, pepper, dried pineapple.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Mind-melting aroma with aspects from all aspects/ingredients of brewing...could sniff this all day...just amazing. Very rich in the mouth...sweet but quite a bit of finishing bitterness that keeps me coming back again and again. The only thing I wish were better is the rather syrupy-watery mouthfeel. Fabulous beer and brewery. stevoj (4960) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 10, 2012
Nice robust flavor on this brew. Hazy, golden color with oily beige head. Heavy malt aroma, and taste is sharp and biting, with nice crisp finish. A gem! Embrouille (2852) - SWITZERLAND - JAN 30, 2009
Appearance: It pours a clear golden beer with a beautiful white head. Aroma: Hoppy with hints of sage and lemon peel. Rather strong. Belgian yeast character. Flavor and palate: Good bitterness. Lemon peel, quinces and sage appearing. Flowery. Complex. Rather full bodied. Wonderful long bitter finish with hints of lemongrass and sage. Overall impression: Deeply pleasant. A very nice surprise. Slayer85 (1051) - Firenze, ITALY - APR 29, 2010
750 ml swing top bottle. A lightly hazy medium golden beer with an average sized, frothy, mostly diminishing white head. Medium body, lively carbonation, long finish with medium bitterness, lightly alcoholic. Very enjoyable. Grzesiek79 (4274) - Radom, POLAND - JUN 6, 2014
