pours amber yellow, pretty lacing and micro bubbles. Initially sharp hoppy bitterness, followed by a fragrant banana-honey and then malty middle, and then a dry finish at the top-back of the throat. Bitterness lingers. A creamy bittersweet smooth beer with medium body, medium complexity, medium depth, and medium length. Overall above average but not the flavours I’m looking for.

Bottle at the Rake thanks to Richard. Hazy gold lasting off white head. Yeasty aroma. Decent fullness in mouth. Some spice. A bit like a Belgian spicy blonde beer with elements of biere de garde.

It’s a bit too sweet for my taste, but I clearly recognize this as a remarkable blonde. Pours with a think resilient white head and a golden body. Give it a whiff and you’ll likely find it florally and fruity, with somewhat of a grassy nose. It’s one of the sweeter ales I’ve tried recently and, after drinking half of the 75cl bottle, I grew somewhat averse its sweetness. The citrus and honey flavors seem to dominate the taste. For me, the taste is saved by a distinctly bitter finish.
