Bottle, 75cl. It pours a hazy, pale golden-orange body under a decent white head leaving lacings. Quite lovely spice touch in the aroma, citrusy with a pleasant grainy imprint. Yeast notes and a suiting barnyard hint. Really refreshing and quenching with a nice blend of pale malts and citrusy hops. Quite sweet, but that just suits the beer, and the finish is as dry as it should be. Some yeast and a fine bitterness also find it’s way down the throat. Medium to full body, slightly warming and pleasantly carbonated. This was a nice surprise after too many mediocre French beers. 090919

Cavie (4345) - Arlington, Texas, USA - DEC 6, 2009
Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Cloudy peach coloring. Smells of sweet breading, light fruit smells. Spicy notes round things out. Taste is fruit with dry kumquat. Spices feel earthy and grassy. Very good, however with an increasingly dry finish.

A vibrant beer that is more than the sum of its parts. Lightly bready, some mild herbal qualities and a touch of citrusy zing that imparts a light juiciness. A fine summer day drinker. Light yet compelling. Drinks below its abv weight.

Festival Hoogeveen (20151220): from 33 cl bottle. A clear golden yellow beer with a white thin foam layer. The smell is slightly sweet, but more esters/fruity (apple, orange). Taste is somewhat sweet, but very fast a good hop bitter character appears, which become dry in the aftertaste. Good balance. Nice beer.
