It has roughly foam which rapidly decrease to sporadic residues. Smells lightly of fruit and really nothing else. The taste is sweet, very fruity of orange, peach and some citrus. Unfortunately, it has a slightly perfumed aftertaste, which may resemble the sweet taste. Hop bitterness is well hidden behind the sweet overtones, and it has no special Christmas touch, apart from the aforementioned orange. GG (2332) - NorCal, California, USA - NOV 6, 2014
750ml bottle -
A somewhat pedestrian beer that’s peculiar in the sense that, I don’t know what kind of style it is. The style here says it’s a dubbel but there’s no way it’s a dubbel. Sorry. The aroma is very sweet smelling, an abundance of caramel malts with a touch of roast. The Belgian yeast is also fairly present, which helps things. Flavor has some honey-like malts, caramel, dried orange peel...fruity...definitely. A nice Belgian ale, no matter what the style is. Wittales (762) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JAN 4, 2014
Appearance was clear deep golden with diminishing tiny off white 1/2 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are simple toffee, deep fruits with no hop present or alcohol. Taste are domaniated by brown sugar, caramal, honey, toffee, date, fig and orange marmalade with hints of bready toast. Palate are soft smooth CO2 with malty fruity average length finish. Vintage 2011 was malty smooth wonder. DruncanVeasey (8225) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 2, 2014
Corked 750ml bottle- slightly vintage. Honey amber with a thick woolly foam lining to the glass. Muted dried fruit, brass and caramel aroma. Sweet and flabby with incidental aniseed, metallic and marzipan streaks. Tooth rot sweet. Dull brown English bitter ladled with additional sugar. Hard work.

Bottle, thnx to deanso. Pours a clear amber beer with a small off white head on top. Aroma is fruity, yeasty, nutty and spicy. Flavor is medium sweet, quite herbal and yeasty with some fruity notes in it as well. Aftertaste is sweet, spicy and like your typical Christmas ale. Nice one to enjoy over Christmas eve. chinchill (4928) - South Carolina, USA - JUN 4, 2013
Brown 750ml cork-and-wire finished bottle. Date stamp on front label 07.03.13.
Appearance: An orange-amber color with good clarity and some visible carbonation bubbles. Generous and durable bone-colored head leaves plenty of sticky lacing on the glass.
Aroma: mix of Belgian dubbel and French biere de garde. Hints of honey, dark dried fruits and apricot jam.
Palate: Medium body; medium-high carbonation; Soft and smooth.
O: a pleasant Holiday ale that is more than a little like a Belgian dubbel and which worked fine in the 100F degree heat of Arizona. Gription79 (2886) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - MAR 24, 2013
Poured from a 750ml bottle. The aroma is candied fruit, caramel, hints of cinnamon. The flavor starts off with a solid caramel sweetness, and finishes sweet with fruits and spices. This is a sweet holiday ale. I enjoyed this holiday ale. Benzai (15446) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - MAR 1, 2013
