Bottle conditioned.

330ml on bottle @satellite. Malt, sugar and alcohol dominate the smell. Pours cloudy golden with long lasting white foam. In the mouth honey comes first then malt but taste is alcoholic in the end. Leaves a sweet after taste. Heavy body and creamy beer with medium carbonation. Not a bad beer but a bit too strong and it doesn’t taste that much honey.

Bottle from Spar supermarket, Rochefort, Belgium. Hazy golden coloured with a sweet toffee and honey flavour followed by a herbal fruity finish. Nice, but too high ABV for the flavour.

Very easy to drink: simply my idea of Belgian Ale. Sweet honey, malt, yeast and spices .

Svesse (8581) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JAN 6, 2016
(Bottle, Chez Moeder Lambic Saint-Gilles, Brussels, 16 Oct 2015) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with notes of bready malt, honey and peaches. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, honey, dried peaches and a fairly sweet finish with low bitterness. Almost full body, soft, with a certain sweetness. Well balanced and tasty. Quite nice.

*Old rating. Best before March 2014. Smooth sweetish Belgian Ale. Sweetish, honey and malt, not much bitterness, round and sticky.
