COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.

33 cl bottle bought from supermarket. Pours dark golden color with minimal white head. Aroma of honey, grassy yeast, light caramel. Taste is also sweet, grassy yeast, light honey, malty. Medium body, lively carbonation, medium sweet finish. Overall a good Belgian beer.

Hazy golden color with off-white head. Aroma has some grassy yeast esters, dusty malts and some sugar. Taste starts on the sweet side with malt and sugar flavor. Some yeast spice throughout, also quite floral. Light body with medium plus carbonation. It's mostly a malt and yeast forward beer with some extra sweetness but it lacks complexity and depth of flavor.

Pours dirtied orange, quite murky, with a small, but creamy off-white head. The nose has Belgian yeast and sugars, popped grain, fresh white bread, peppery notes. Starts malty and sweet with a soft propolis note, some dried flower petals (but not sharp and perfumey), followed by a rich, "fluffy" bready middle and some thickened honey. Some dried orange peel in the finish, mild peppercorn, hint of clove and faint dried grass. Aftertaste is sweet, but not cloying. Medium body, medium carbonation, somewhat nutritious. A decent honeyed strong pale that’s not too heavy or gross, but it’s not exactly hitting all the marks.

330ml on bottle @satellite. Malt, sugar and alcohol dominate the smell. Pours cloudy golden with long lasting white foam. In the mouth honey comes first then malt but taste is alcoholic in the end. Leaves a sweet after taste. Heavy body and creamy beer with medium carbonation. Not a bad beer but a bit too strong and it doesn’t taste that much honey.

Bottle from Spar supermarket, Rochefort, Belgium. Hazy golden coloured with a sweet toffee and honey flavour followed by a herbal fruity finish. Nice, but too high ABV for the flavour.

Very easy to drink: simply my idea of Belgian Ale. Sweet honey, malt, yeast and spices .
