Aroma: 3 Look: 3 Taste: 2 Palate: 2 Overall: 2
Can from Londis, Kilbeggan [290617]
Golden, clear, frothy white head 3
Aroma - Light sweet metallic corn, weird floral note, poor 3
Taste - Light sweet pale lager malt, dull corn, damp cardboard, worse than aroma, chemicals, awful 2
Palate - Medium carb, light body, soft sweet. Finish is a bit dry, damp newspaper and cardboard, poor taste in linger 2
Overall - Crappy tasting macro junk. Worse than most industrial lagers I’ve tasted. Shite. Had headache the next day both times I drank this, had less than 1/2 a can then chucked the rest. Threw out the other 2 cans.

Lekki karmel, lekki słód, minimum chmielu. W smaku wysoko wysycona woda gazowana z delikatnie ciasteczkowym posmakiem. Trochę mineralne. Bardzo słabe

Pretty boring to be honest, without surprise of course. Cheap price and that’s the best point you’ll get with this one, which is a clone of thousand supermarket lagers I experienced before. Almost no head, no palate, no class... Good for a hot afternoon if you can’t afford anything else, otherwise, avoid. PARTIALLY APPROVED BY TAVERNY’S BLACK METAL CREW!

Can, 50 cl. Decent lager, not particularly good, nor bad. Went well with lasagna.

Bue en pression dans bar (pot Alya). Bière de soif standard industrielle lager. Légère amertume, et se laissant boire facilement.

Calisky (2941) - ALSACE, FRANCE - MAY 11, 2015
Couleur jaune dorée, légère mousse blanche. Nez leger malté et vieux fruits. Gout leger d’orge et eau... Aqueux et très rapide. Vraiment nulle.

500 ml can at abv 4.5% bought at CR Vanguard in Pratt Avenue, Tsim Sha Tsui.

Clear dull golden colour; Less than one-quarter head and soapy white foam which fades in 20 seconds; Small lacing with quite fizzy carbonation; Very light aroma of malt, with icing sugar, glucose, lemon soda, corn, light yeast and faint grass; Mid to light sweet taste of thin malt, with light cardboard, light corn, lemon soda, shandy, light lemon, very low bitter hops and faint grass; Mid to light body. Fairly slick palate; Mouth feel is a bit thick and sluggish soda or shandy with macro Pale-level thin maltyless. Some chemical, light corn and wet paper in background, though not that annoying. Otherwise shandy-like all the way. Very empty… Hoppiness is very light lemon and grass in nose, with a bit more of both in taste. Bitterness is close to negligible for a cornish, slightly teeth-rotting sweet finish; Slightly dry after taste, Soda-ish and fairly easy to mouth.

Comments: As a Macro Pale, this is better than Biere Blonde de Luxe and Blonderbrau, but it still bear the hallmarks of Saint-Omer’s mediocrities – malt is minimal, sluggish body, dusty teeth-rotting hidden sweetness, and no hops or finish. Easily drinkable, if only in a slightly marginal sense.

Can. Golden with white head. Lager yeast aroma, dust. Taste of lafer yeast, boscuit.
