Bottle. A dark brown, next to black, beer with some sediments. Finger thick tan head. Heavily roasted malts, some milky sourness, chocolate and coffee, brown sugar, yeast notes and some prunes in the nose. Nice, but not fantastic. Smooth and a bit too effervescent on the palate, medium body and a tiny sour touch. There’s flavors of roasted malts, chocolate and coffee, brown sugar and some faint notes of yeast, some prunes and toast. The finish has a light touch of metal and maybe a little charcoal in addition to roasted malts and all that. Overall it’s a nice beer, a bit hard to judge I think, maybe the sour touch disturbes me, but I won’t shy away from another one. 090927 RuneStumo (2710) - Haugesund, NORWAY - NOV 28, 2009

Bottle: Hazy red colour, with a creamy head.
Aroma is sweet malty, raisins , dry fruits, and a bit citric. Flavor had a smouth creamy caramelly mouth feeling, and a bit of choclate and coffee. Citric and a nice malty/alcy fruity finish. Rune (13503) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 24, 2010
330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet in Norway. Chilled down a bit before being poured twice into a haft pint glass (from London Drinker 08). Has got a beige to fawn coloured head that slowly fades away, atop of a deep, rosewood body. Quite inviting aroma of slightly roasted, sweet malts on an herbal dry backbone. Firm mouth-filling taste of dark and dried fruits like prunes, dark plums and a bit of apricot. Some yeasty hints beneath. Satisfying bittersweet ending. Medium bodied. Fits the season as a pleasing sipper on a cold winter afternoon up north (Tromsø, 23.01.2010). markas101 (2499) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - MAR 2, 2012
33 cl bottle, Sheffield, UK via Cave à bulles, Paris. Opaque deep brown colour. Sweet caramel aroma, then some mint-infused hops and green veg and soy sauce. Sweet flavour, then a smokey bitterness, finishes bittersweet with some bitter cloves on the finish.
