Bottle: Thanks, Ryan! Lightly hazy, bright golden body with a foamy, chunky eggshell head & lots of small, quickly rising bubble streams in the beer. Aroma is lovely... Very nice mix of a seemingly fruit-based tartness with a solid backbone of lightly funky farmhouse yeast. Hints of wet cotton, lemon flesh, unripe stone fruit, woody funk, earthy esters, white grape, & faint bubblegum (that Belgian yeast poking through). Taste is very similar; lots of Belgian-style yeast up front, along with funk that seems somewhat like Brett & a tartness that’s close to lacto but not so extreme. Fruity esters, light bubblegum, lemon zest, earthy tones, mild acidic frizz, pleasant citric tartness... Much more complex than I was expecting. The finish has a big, dry, rotten & musty cellar door type funk that balances nicely with the sour aspects of the beer. Zesty, dry, mildly bitter, funky, lightly acidic & tart finish. Can’t say I was expecting much from this beer, but WOW... It was a great saison. sethdude (706) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 5, 2014
2012- Thanks to Daniel (CheesedMan) for this one! pours hazy orange with a massive rocky head and great lacing. Aroma is bret funk and hay, mild floral notes. Flavor is Big- sweet bready malts, bret funk, bandaid (though not as much as I expected from the aroma), dirt, burlap, lemon, and grassy notes intermingle. No alcohol present in the flavor. Pretty darn good, a bit sweeter than most saisons, but all of the elements are here. It needs more cheese/bandaid notes to be exceptional. A wonderful beer from a sunny climate enjoyed on a very cold, very snowy day. jcnielsen (3412) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 28, 2013

Bottle @ Exira Beer Summit IV. Thanks to Dr. Owl for sending. Pours a cloudy yellow orange appearance with a white head. Funky pineapple, mango, plum/dark grape, slightly sweet aroma. Juicy, tart mango, orange fruity, slightly fruity, slight plum, fig flavor. Kind of a strange clash of flavors but pretty tasty, tart, and funky. rangerred (989) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - OCT 26, 2013
750ml bottle into a tulip. This one actually blew the cork out of the bottle after I removed the cage. Have never seen that before. I’m really glad my face wasn’t over the bottle!
Pours with a rediculous amount of carbonation. Like 3/4 of the glass is foam. Not ideal but speaks to the age and funk goin on. Nearly clear light gold body and the head is rock solid and huge. It leaves huge globs of lacing when it finally does start to recede. Impressive.
Lots of yeast in the aroma with just the righ amount of barnyard funk. Pineapple and banana notes along with some clove. Grapes sneak through and a touch of tangerine. There is a definite tropical note that is atypical of other saisons I have had.
The flavor is a big juicy punch of tropical citrus. Tangerine and pineapple hit right away but there is plenty of yeasty character and clove. Some funk is present although it is held in check in the background but lends a nice drying touch. Mouthfeel is on the full side with a touch of stickyness to finish and a whiff of alcohol.
Overall, a very nice saison that is different enough to be interesting. There is a lot of tropical fruit and some funk to make things interesting. A really good beer and it makes me want to try some other offerings from this brewery.

750 courtesy of my Secret Santa - Thanks! Murky yellow, fragile white head. Smells great - lots of tropical flavors, with some sweet, funky notes. Very refreshing. I get a lot of citrus and tropical fruit flavors, too. Crisp, funky, tangy finish. Sledutah (7526) - Utah, USA - JUN 24, 2013
750ml bottle shared by Doug, it was a show stopper when that cork blew out douglas88 (9187) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 24, 2013
Cloudy yellow with a big white head and good lacing. Aroma of grapes, wet blanket and brett. Flavors were tart, wet blanket and citrus
Nice and tasty
Pretty awesome, I cracked this at Mikey’s gathering with the warning that it explodes in my mind. The cork just edged up after I took off the cage and then BOOM and nice explosion. Didn’t lose much beer. A huge white foamy head. A sour bug Brett nose and some light fruit. The flavor is very fruit, dusty grapes, big Brett, light sourness more funky. Lemons. Good. smith4498 (3646) - Winter Springs, Florida, USA - JUN 22, 2013
