From our favorite Floridian brewery comes this Belgian-style dubbel. It’s rich and fruity, with some herbal flavors, and some funkiness thrown in for good measure. And, as always, somehow it’s reminiscent of it’s hometown of Tarpon Springs.

Bottled at RBESG 2010 Grand Tasting. An unclear red beer with a huge lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt and peaches as well as lots of spices. The flavor has notes of brettanomyces, lacto, fruit, and unfermented malt, leading to a dry and lightly tart finish.

Cloudy red amber beer. Crispy palate. Sour fruity nose. Sourish medicinal taste with a sharp tang. Bitter coca cola and herbal notes. Not getting much Hibiscus and no idea what the Palmetto berries are contributing. Slighty odd and sour Saison.

Medium sweet flavour, a little body, with notes of grape, light toffee, berries. Medium to full bodied with average to lively carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, with more yeast notes, light caramel, bread, berries, grapes. Tasty, if a bit punchy.

Reddish amber, no head. The aroma is brett, a little pedio and some fruitiness. Taste is kind of lifeless, slightly floral and with some pedio. Hmmm...this was better when I tried it a few years ago. Today it kind of goes nowhere.
