Bottle @ Borefts ’13 thx to Illuvatarmilan (if I spelled that correctly). Pitch black coloured beer with a full sized, dark brown head (which looks lovely). Smells some iron, roasty and coffee. Tastes coffee, again iron, liquorice, slightly salty and roasty. I’m not a fan of liquorice taste in beer, but this beer does it quite nicely. Medium to full body and soft carbo. 75cl Bottle at BBF’13, thanks Kamiel/Milan. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, quite sweet, malty, chocolate, pipe tobacco. Flavour is also quite sweet, chocolate, roasted malts, dark fruits, some sweetened coffee, roasted and light hoppy bitter finish. Medium-bodied. A bit simple, but nice. Opaque dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Semi dry palate, very mild carbonation. Coffee like dark malt, a little spice. A little lactose. Nice subtle fruits underneath. Semi dry finish. All right.
Draught @ Little Delirium Cafe, Brussels. Black coloured beer with a huge brown head. Very nice toasted roasted caramel malty hinted aroma. Full light creamy palate. Finish is slightly alcoholic coffee roasted bitter hinted with a longer bitter roasted ending. Not bad. Dedollewaitor (16171) - Odense, DENMARK - JAN 7, 2013
