Theydon_Bois (20636) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - OCT 2, 2013
Bottle shared at Borefts ’13, thanks to Kamiel (Countbeer), 27/09/13. Light black with a thin tan head, floaties are evident. Nose is roast malts, slightly lactic notes, cocoa, earthiness, mineral notes. Taste comprises cocoa powder, mineral bite, roast malts, dark fruits, tarte fruit tang. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, dry finish. Ok - nothing I’d revist.

750ml bottle (Alvinne webshop)
6 On opening a fruity estery aroma, but also some acetone. In the glass it’s a bit of a stodgy chocolatey mashiness. Some soy.
4+ Slightly cloudy dark brown. Large dark bready head, fairly persistent. Some bits in suspension are the only downside.
7 Rich burnt taste, quite a lot of liquorice, bitter and barky. Salty almost. Bitterness is quite tangy. Slightly sweet, but well attenuated.
4 Smooth and full palate, pleasant soft carbonation. Finish is very bitter and liquoricey, saccharine as well. Something almost buttery too.
13 Very solid beer. Not so much a typical stout at all. Bitterness and liquorice perhaps a bit over-the top. Covers 9% very well. Glad I had Minna and Janne to share this with, 750ml of too much for two people.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2013 Sampled @ Borefts 2013 from bottle thanks to Illuvatarmilan. Pitch black color, small brown head. Smell and taste malts, toasted malts, dried fruits, some bitter. Hard to describe. Not bad at all though.

Dedollewaitor (16387) - Odense, DENMARK - JAN 7, 2013
Bottle @ Mi Orge Mi Houblon, Arlon. Pours black with a small creamy beige head and lacings. Nose is roasted malts. Some dark fruit, a lot of burnt roasted notes a well as charcoal and ashes. Smooth and soft. Bitter roasted coffee finish. Quite tasty.

Theis (15151) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 5, 2012

bierkoning (13689) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - OCT 4, 2013
From bottle. Black and opague. Roast, licorice and onions in the aroma. Sharp citrus flavor, roasty with coffee and licorice. Very tasty, but out of balance.

Bov (13221) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - NOV 1, 2013
courtesy of Carole and Anna - black beer with a quite long lasting dark beige foam; roasted aroma of mocha and vanilla, some undefined spices; medium-bodied, pretty fair sweetness underneath; finishes dry and bitter with a strong spicy, medicinal herbs-like touch - a bit weird

bu11zeye (13215) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - DEC 22, 2010
(750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy amber body with a medium beige head. Aroma of caramel, cherry, toffee, orange peel, light florals, and apple. Flavor of caramel, yeast, toffee, subtle pine, some citrus, and apple with a dry finish.

thewolf (12803) - Kolding, DENMARK - APR 5, 2012
Bottle, bought @ Etre Gourmet.
Pours deep deep chestnut, bordering on black with a firm, creamy, off-white head. Complex caramel malts aroma, light vinious, plums, a bit of coffee and liqourice. Medium carbonation, light grainy but lovely dryish and very creamy palate. Flavour has great milky chocolate, some hazelnuts, caramel, light toasted caramel, some mild coffee. A bit vinious and warming with a mild, but firm bitterness towards the end. Lovely.

Pinball (12332) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 17, 2009
