3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 26, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 27, 2017 Bottle-conditioned 750ml pours hazy gold with a quickly collapsing head. Malt comes across strangely as wet hay, apple cider, some raw wort qualities; hops are grassy-green, noble-like, a little musty-cheesy, but subdued. It’s medium-full bodied, effervescent and off-dry with kind of a mess of bitterness and raw grain in the finish. No finesse.

Leighton (22329) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 20, 2017
Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Kris Wines. Pours mostly clear golden orange with a big, fluffy white head. Nice aroma, with expressive saison yeast, some bubblegum, cotton candy, tangerine and melon, along with grass and crispy hay. Light-medium sweet flavour, with soft grassy bitterness, some biscuits, more citrus fruits, some phenolic notes, more hay, some grain husk. Light to medium bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, with more yeast expression, grass, tangerine, some orange rind. Solid from top to bottom.

Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, tropical fruit, pineapple, passion-fruit, hay, bread, peaches, hints of clove, spicy yeast and a generous citric, earthy bitterness in the finish.
