Lore (2904) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUL 1, 2017
very hazy pale yellow colour, one inch dense pillowy white head; aroma of grainy, herbal, citrusy, earthy and fruity notes, as well as barnyard; taste is the same with apricot notes;dry aftertaste; excellent saison! extremely refreshing

On tap at PIB 2017, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out fairly aggressive floral dry hopping, saison yeast and doughy esters. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of floral dry hopping and subdued saison yeast. Nowhere close to the regular - too floral and assertive in the astringency department. Decent.

Bottle. Light hazy deep golden liquid with huge egg shell white, frothy head. Aroma of citrus, floral hops, white pepper, earth, light bubblegum, bread and grain. Taste is dry and light to medium bitter with notes of floral hops, grain, earth, cereal and light bubblegum. Light to medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Really nice, effervescent and drinkable. Lovely stuff.

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2017 Heavenly Dupont yeast aroma sweet, doughy, fruity. Certainly more lemony citrus character than the original. Dry and mildly bitter finish. Always a treat these beers. Hugely refreshing and satisfying on a hot summer day. Subtle difference, mostly in the finish, compared to the classic, but you get what you?d expect and that?s a great saison.
