On tap. Cloudier golden with a thin white ring of head and nice lacing. Fruit forward nose, hoppy, lemony, dusty yeast notes. Fair sweetness, but more bitterness, and plenty of tartness. Lighter side of medium bodied, fairly active, with a dusty dry hoppy bitter tart finish. Cool brew, I’d say a little more fruity than the standard version. Exquisite palate.

750 ml. Cloudy golden body. Huge, frothy white head, lasting. Aroma of floral hops, lemon, toasted grain, herbs, fruits, mustiness, orange, citrus. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter and lightly acidic The finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter and lightly to moderately acidic. Sweet start dries quickly. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Clean, delicate malts washed with tight, but lively carbonation. Taste of orange, grapefruit. Light pepper. Lingering bitterness. Outstanding balance. World class and, finally, a brown bottle from Dupont. 2000th rating.

Bottle from Save On. Is it possible to improve on damn near the best beer in the world? Probably not. But at least this one does justice to the original. Looks just like it. Slightly more aromatic with citrus and grassy hops. Same very subdued apricot/pineapple sweetness with slightly complex very dry bitter finish. Perfect palate, just like the original. Have to say, if I were blind folded I might be hard pressed to tell the difference. And since this one costs the same as the other, that’ fine with me. An absolute work of art. Bravo.

the 2013 version better than the 2012. Fruity aroma’s. Fresh... A little less "hoppy" than the standard saison dupont. Superb

Bottle yields a clear light golden pour, with a meringue white billowing head that fades rather quickly to a soapy cap. Aroma on this beer is simply sublime- Light notes of fresh ground black pepper, a huge white fruit character, ranging from pear, to peach, to apricot. Floral, as in bee pollen floral goodness. Light apple notes, clean mineral/wet rock. Evocative of a stream through farm country. Every time I stick my nose in this I catch something different...Beautiful. Taste doesn’t quite live up to that hype, but after that, I don’t expect it to. Similar white fruit notes, pepper and floral character fade to the back more. Grape skins (Tannin?), some bitterness. Finish is drying, almost astringent, and what I imagine is the dry hopping makes itself a bit more known as more floral and spicy character is present on the finish. Light carbonation. I enjoy beers that remind me of places and bring me there... As a result, I really, really enjoy this thing, but a not so dry finish would elevate it in my mind considerably.

Pour out of 750 mL bottle, hazy orange yellow pour with lasting white head, aroma brought notes of nice cracker, biscuit, bread, hints of grass, nice hallertau notes, touch of oak, vanilla, hints of bread, touch of pine. Taste is a nice mix of hallertau, slight grass, pine, hints of oak, bread, slight vanilla, cracker, finishing dry, biscuity, spicy. This is well done.

750s from Capone’s, Craft Ale, and draft at Craft. Pours turbid dark straw golden with 2-finger fluffy white head and a champagny carbonation. Nose is a complex mix of hoppy citrus, spicy white peppery florals, and yeasty funky esters. Tastes very complex, with hopcitrus, funky yeasty apricotty fruit at mid-palate, but not sweet, and a finish of funky spicy mats and esters. This one is great.

Tastefully controlled complexities form inspiring residuals, an excellent saison

A hazed sunshiny amber body supports a delicate frothy 3’’ white head falling to a lasting ring and receding perforated cap with a few spots and rounded peninsulas of lace
-
Pleasantly balanced notes of grass, flowers, pineapple, and orange orbiting white pepper and slightly damp hay on a medium light body with enough carbonation to create a light and playful experience while also allowing for a soft coating to persist, soft bitterness and faint tartness dry the palate and amplify echoing aromas and flavors which merge into honey drizzled pear and apple, pome fruit notes grow exponentially with warmth overtaking the citrus influence, with a faint dusty funk presenting itself as each glass empties
-
750ml (25.4oz) bottle code 7 13055A at 45º and warming

A golden colored beer, with a good firm white head. It is a full bodied beer of only 6,5 percent, very well done. The taste id simular of that of the regular saison. It is good carbonated beer, strong bitter taste, citrus, sour, and softness of grains. A very nice version of the classic saison Dupont. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
