3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pour out of 750 mL bottle, hazy orange yellow pour with lasting white head, aroma brought notes of nice cracker, biscuit, bread, hints of grass, nice hallertau notes, touch of oak, vanilla, hints of bread, touch of pine. Taste is a nice mix of hallertau, slight grass, pine, hints of oak, bread, slight vanilla, cracker, finishing dry, biscuity, spicy. This is well done.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750s from Capone’s, Craft Ale, and draft at Craft. Pours turbid dark straw golden with 2-finger fluffy white head and a champagny carbonation. Nose is a complex mix of hoppy citrus, spicy white peppery florals, and yeasty funky esters. Tastes very complex, with hopcitrus, funky yeasty apricotty fruit at mid-palate, but not sweet, and a finish of funky spicy mats and esters. This one is great.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tastefully controlled complexities form inspiring residuals, an excellent saison
A hazed sunshiny amber body supports a delicate frothy 3’’ white head falling to a lasting ring and receding perforated cap with a few spots and rounded peninsulas of lace
Pleasantly balanced notes of grass, flowers, pineapple, and orange orbiting white pepper and slightly damp hay on a medium light body with enough carbonation to create a light and playful experience while also allowing for a soft coating to persist, soft bitterness and faint tartness dry the palate and amplify echoing aromas and flavors which merge into honey drizzled pear and apple, pome fruit notes grow exponentially with warmth overtaking the citrus influence, with a faint dusty funk presenting itself as each glass empties

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
A golden colored beer, with a good firm white head. It is a full bodied beer of only 6,5 percent, very well done. The taste id simular of that of the regular saison. It is good carbonated beer, strong bitter taste, citrus, sour, and softness of grains. A very nice version of the classic saison Dupont.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Appearance: slightly cloudy, orangey gold, with a thick creamy-fluffy white froth of a head; decent soapy lacing. Aroma: very floral and spicy, with strong but pleasant vegetal notes over a honey-and-crackers malt base and the traditional Dupont musty funk. Taste: flowery and sweet up front, as the amped up fragrance is rather assertive at first; this quickly gives way to the traditional crusty white bread, citrus, yeast, and funk flavors you’d expect. Finish: a little dry, with just a hint of floral and citrus bitterness. Notes: Outstanding. The dry hopping took the already-great aroma and kicked it up a notch, while also drying out the end of the beer. Even so, all those great traditional Saison Dupont notes were right there as expected. The hopping certainly enhanced this beer. What a great find.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle in Eagle with friends and family. Pour is a beautiful, glowing golden color with a frothy white head and great lacing. Aroma is fresh cut grass - though not super hoppy/resinous - musty, yeasty, doughy, a touch of pepper, coriander, somewhat floral, and honeycomb. Taste is spritzy, tangy, bright citrusy, honey, grassy, white pepper, coriander, doughy, and herbs with a lightly spicy finish. Light body with high carbonation ending with crisp dryness. Really nice stuff.

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
2013 Release; Sampled June 2013
A steady pour into my New Belgium globe glass produces a three-finger thick, pale tan colored head that is quite fluffy and leaves some nice layered lacing on the sides of my glass. The beer is an orange tinged, dark straw color that shows a brilliantly clear, pale orange tinged, bright gold hue when held up to the light. The aroma is quite floral, a bit herbal, a touch woody, with lots of characteristic Dupont funkiness, mustiness, and earthy spice character. Lots of dried hay, dried wildflower notes, earthy spiciness that leans towards woody ginger, bright pepper, lemon like coriander notes, and some orange marmalade like notes that have a pine like twang to it, and there is even a touch of cedar like character to this beer. The aroma is drop dead fantastic, definitely something I can’t get enough of, but I really should take a sip at some point.
Effervescent, dry, light textured, but still has enough of a viscosity to lightly coat the palate before finishing light and refreshing in the finish. There is a solid bitterness here that lingers into the finish along with a biting, spicy, phenolic fermentation character and a touch of woody / herbal hop character that isn’t quite astringent. Dried hay, grassy straw, Meyer lemon zest, and an orange marmalade like flavor that has no sweetness, a wildflower like herbal note, peppery pine notes, some dry herbal honey notes, and a lingering flower nectar character in the finish are all noticeable here, but without any sweetness. The malt character provides a nice, noticeable, chewy middle that contributes flavors of whole grain crackers, whole grain coated bread, and some solid dried straw / hay character that nicely accentuates the hop character.
Quite nice, I really love a good Dupont Saison. This is nice, fresh, and a bit more hoppy than the original, the dry hops are quite well integrated here, not nearly as in your face as an American dry-hopped version, but still seriously influences the flavor and aromatic profile of this beer. The nose on this beer is just quite fantastic.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
2013 Bottling... Poured golden amber/orange with a moderate forming, white head. Nose had strong esters with lights fruits and floral hop tones. This to may tasted like a s super fresh Saison Dupont. Earthy farmyard yeast notes along with some hop bitterness and bready malt notes for some balance. A little drying in the finish with some light fruity sweetness.
